- Palladium Praha - The meeting point is at the main entrance of the Palladium shopping center, right in front of the Foot Locker sports shop. It’s a central and easily accessible location.
- Prague - A brief tram ride of about 10 minutes takes us to our first destination.
- Letna Park - Our initial stop before visiting the beer gardens is a renowned spot in Prague for its high-quality organic beef burgers. Lunch is served here with options for vegetarians and vegans, along with a choice of refreshing beer, wine, cider, or nonalcoholic beverages.
- Letna Park - A short 5-minute walk leads us to our next venue.
- Letna Park - Next, we visit the beer garden at the Academy of Fine Arts, one of Europe’s most prestigious art faculties. Here, we enjoy a selection of beer, cider, wine, or nonalcoholic drinks.
- Hradcany & Letna - A 10-minute walk takes us to our subsequent stop. As we stroll through the neighborhood’s side streets, the guide shares intriguing stories about Nazi rule, communism, secret police, political prisoners, and the heroes who sacrificed for freedom.
- Letna Beer Garden - Our second beer garden offers stunning views of Prague. This is the historic site where a peaceful march began in 1989, marking the end of communism—the Velvet Revolution. We savor our choice of beer, wine, cider, or nonalcoholic drinks here.
- Letna Park - We proceed to our next location.
- Letna Park - Our next destination is a local community beer garden with a traditional vibe. It’s adjacent to the tennis courts where Martina Navrátilová was coached by her father in 1962. In 1975, she sought political asylum in the USA at the age of 18. We enjoy another refreshment here.
- Letna Park - A walk of approximately 10 minutes.
- Letna Park - We continue to the site where the largest statue of Joseph Stalin stood for seven years, symbolizing oppression. Today, a metronome stands as a reminder that all things pass with time. Created in 1991, it is officially named The Time Machine. Above the plateau is a skatepark renowned across Europe. In 1989, a pirate radio station was established in a nuclear bunker beneath the former statue site. Known as Radio Stalin at 91.9 MHz, it gained legitimacy and a broadcasting license in 1991, becoming Czech Radio 1.
- Letna Park - A walk of about 5 minutes.
- Hradcany & Letna - Our next stop is a beer garden frequented by artists, skateboarders, students, intellectuals, and others. It’s a trendy spot, offering a beer gallery with over 400 local beers.
- Hradcany & Letna - A 5-minute walk.
- Hradcany & Letna - We then visit an active railway station bar rich in history. During communism, it was a hub for subculture activists and anti-regime individuals. It exudes an authentic sense of Prague’s past and present, a hidden gem not found in guidebooks, like a time capsule.
