A gem of a museum - The Lobkowicz Palace is one of the most interesting sights and museums in Prague. I decided to visit as an add-on to my visit to Prague Castle and spend almost 2 hours touring the Lobkowicz Palace. The collections of everything from china to musical scores to armor to ancient weapons to artwork are simply amazing, as well as a testament to the Lobkowicz family, which spent decades to reassembling everything in the collections. The magnificent Haymaking painting (Bruegel) and the portrait of Doña Margarita Teresa (Velázquez) alone are well worth the price of admission. A true gem of a museum in Prague.

So much historical information given! - I went to visit this museum as part of the ticket for Prague castle and it was one of my favorite locations, second only to Saint Vitus Cathedral. The audio tour was recorded by the owners so it gives it a more personal touch. Lots of history and information in each room. The tour of the actual castle is only 1 – 2 rooms, and the Golden Lane is a shopping area. I thought this experience was much more informative and worth climbing all those steps!

Beautiful palace tour - Beautiful castle tour. The rooms are beautiful and the audio guide was very informative. We timed it right and had an early dinner on the terrace cafe with a beautiful view of the city.

Well worth the visit - would recommend - Really interesting and entrance fee very reasonable as included so many buildings. Even without headphones spent over 3 hours there.

Definitely worth visiting! However, voucher issues need to be looked into. - The Prague Castle complex is vast and is best taken in two days. The Golden Lane, St. Vitus Church, gardens, palace, and old palace are worth seeing. The views from the complex are beautiful. We did have a problem with the ticketing which cost us valuable time. Our vouchers said they could be redeemed at Prague Castle or at the Lobkowicz Palace. Prague Castle would not redeem them so we had to walk the length of the complex to the Lobkowicz Palace to get our tickets. Better instructions would have allowed us to use our time more productively.

Stunning - Personally I wouldn't pay to see the castle or Cathedral again. The beauty is on the outside 100%. The lanes are very interesting and well recommended.

Good but not essential - The building is very nice and the rooms beautifully decorated but the visit is not essential if you lack time. Some paintings, dishes and weapons.

Too busy to use our tickets - I paid for the castle and palace tour. The queue was so long to get into the main cathedral and old royal palace that we had no time to wait and did not get in. Insanely long queue. I’d say don’t book the tour in advance in case this happens or give yourself the full day for this visit and expect to wait during holiday periods. I was really disappointed as I paid for 7 tickets and we never got anything for it. Castle area itself is incredible though so def worth a visit.

Skip TripAdvisor, buy direct. - It wasn’t obvious how to get our tickets and we didn’t get to see everything. In retrospect, we wouldn’t but through TripAdvisor, we would just go to the castle and buy the tickets at the main entrance. At least then we could have gotten audio guides.
