Throughout your journey, you get to explore St. Vitus Cathedral’s interiors (free section) and uncover intriguing facts about various important buildings within Prague Castle, including the Basilica of St. George and the Old Royal Palace. Join us to walk through the largest ancient castle in the world and reserve your tour today for a memorable adventure!
- You will be joining the pay-what-you-wish tour. You pay 3 EUR per person upfront to secure your spot and decide how much you would like to tip the guide at the end of the tour, only after you’ve experienced the tour. Our guides are highly motivated to give you the best tour possible.
- The 11 AM tour includes the Change of Guards with Music. 3 PM Tour includes the Golden Lane. Otherwise, the tour covers exactly the same sights.
- Only groups of max. 8 travelers per booking are allowed to join this tour. Larger groups need to book our private tour.
- Group size can be up to 30 people max.
- You will need a tram ticket. You can purchase the ticket at the tour meeting point.
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour start! Since the group takes the tram to the castle it won’t be possible for you to join if you arrive late.

More more more!!! - Did 2 great visits 1/ the castle 2/Prague tour with James and Daniel. Dynamic interesting and fun! Looking forward to doing the other ones as well!

Excellent, great views, knowledgeable and entertaining - Loved the concept of pay what you think is worth it. Kuba was an excellent guide, humorous and knows his history. Lots of walking and plenty tips shared.

I strongly recommend it. - Very nice tour.
We chose the afternoon to see the golden lane. But we still managed to see the shift of guard but not the official with the music that takes place in the morning.
We combined the tour with a morning visit to the Strakhov Monastery, the Loreta of Prague and the picturesque streets (novy svet, nerudova street) around the castle and although we did essentially a round to find ourselves at the meeting point of the tour, it was worth it because our guide before we entered our castle toured the neighborhood around it and told us, among other things, and 2-3 basic things about the monastery and Loreta that we had visited alone earlier.
Our guide Jan was excellent. Very polite, willing, funny, enthusiastic.

Amazing tour experience. - Our tour of Prague Castle on 28-Oct-2024 with Real Prague Guides was an unforgettable experience, largely thanks to our guide, James. His deep knowledge of Prague's history, architecture, and culture made every stop on the tour come alive. It’s clear he is passionate about Prague, which added a lot to the experience. From explaining the details of St. Vitus Cathedral to recounting the castle’s colorful past, he gave us a perspective that went beyond basic facts and dates.
James also had a way of making complex stories easy to understand and engaging. He brought the historical figures of the castle to life, sharing fascinating anecdotes about Bohemian kings, emperors, and notable figures that shaped Prague’s heritage. He was open to all of our questions and gave insightful answers, showing his depth of knowledge and genuine interest in ensuring we enjoyed and learned from the experience.
Another great aspect of the tour was the pacing. While the Prague Castle complex is huge, James made sure we didn’t feel rushed. We had time to admire the views, take photos, and soak in the beauty of the castle grounds. It felt well-organized, and by the end, we all had a deeper understanding of how the castle played a role in Prague’s and even Europe’s history.
In addition to the historical aspects, James shared recommendations for things to do in Prague after the tour. His tips on where to eat and what to explore further were valuable and added a personal touch that we appreciated.
For a tip-based tour, the experience was exceptional and certainly worth more than what you’d expect. James went above and beyond to make sure everyone left with a rich sense of Prague's history and beauty. I’d highly recommend Real Prague Guides—and especially James—to anyone looking to explore Prague Castle with a knowledgeable, engaging guide!

Awesome experience! - David was an amazing guide! We learned so much about the castle district and Prague Castle. I had never taken a tip based tour before this one but will definitely be using them going forward as the guides work very hard to ensure you have an excellent experience. Take this tour! You won’t be disappointed.

Highly recommended! - We had a fun and informative tour led by Vaclav. He shared information and secrets with us that you can't find anywhere else :)) He is very funny. I recommend this tour to everyone. If you don't want to miss any information, don't visit Prague Castle without a guide.
