Start with a 30-minute journey aboard a traditional fishing boat, capturing breathtaking photos of the volcanic crust formed during the island’s creation. Arrive at Pilon de Achada Leite to marvel at one of Cape Verde’s seven Wonders, featuring spectacular rare rocks surrounded by small crabs. Then, proceed to Àguas Belas (meaning “beautiful waters”), where, if the sea is calm, you can swim and snorkel in its caves. Discover the local marine life while the staff prepares a delightful beach barbecue. Unwind on the black-sand beach as you savor your meal. After lunch, return to Ribeira da Barca and complete your tour with a drop-off at your hotel.

Great time! - Always accompanied by our guide Sery we traveled today in the heart of the Ribera valley, from Barca to a refreshing waterfall where we rained during this walk, observe the flora and fauna, local, baobab, monkey and trees, fruit trees.
We ended up in an atypical rum where we were very well received

Funn friendly boat tour - awesome trip bu traditionnal fishing boat of cabo verde , navgating throught the shore , then arriving to amazing caves for diving , clear blue water, then amazing tasty barbecue in beautiful black sand beach with cabanes of rastas, & nice snorkelling in the beach

An unforgettable experience - We celebrated our honeymoon in Praia, Cape Verde and did not expect anything like we have.
We started our trip with Alex and the taxi driver, Zema.
Both very sweet guys and we only took a small car since it was just a private tour for me and my wife.
Alex spoke English very well and was very knowledgeable able to tell us everything we needed to know about the island in Santiago, Praia.
The experience is phenomenal and unforgettable; Thank you Alex and Bu Country Tours!

A must! Made memories for life - Alfonso was an amazing guide! Felt comfortable the entire time, got to see great views, the assomada market and of Ribeira da Barca. Such an awesome experience!

Worth it!!! Do youself a favor and BOOK! - Amazing experience. Our guides made us feel safe and welcome like family. They did their best to translate the multiple languages in our group. My little one had a great time snorkeling and in the caves. The picnic was beautiful and delicious plus you can't beat the views around Santiago. The day was stress free and fun my little one had an amazing time he felt safe swimming around and seeing all of the fish. Water shoes and reef safe spf are a must!

we love Santiago - Travelling with Admilson Garcia was the best choice we have made for a guide. The trips were well planned with pickup from the airport and a meeting on the day of arrival.
We learnt alot about the Santiago Island in just one day. It was a day's trip full of humor, nice food, music, personal stories and information about the culture as told by our guide.There were gracious mountains,lovely sea shores,and very friendly people.

Fun day and great BBQ at the beach. - Fun day and great bbq at the beach.
We were picked up at the hotel in Praia at the agreed time by friendly staff. It was about 1hr. 20 mins drive to Ribeira da Barca, from where the boat departs.
The boat ride was easy and the scenery really beautiful. Landscape and rock formations are quite impressive. Unfortunately we could not swim or snorkel in the cave due to seasonal seaweed which was not anticipated.
We continued to the beach where we dedicate snorkel and were able to see plenty of marine life despite some seaweed around, while our guides prepared BBQ. The food was amazing and plentiful.
Altogether a good, fun experience!
Negative: it is quite a drive, and transportation takes a large part of the day. Price is slightly high considering the actual activity, but we still believe it was worth it
Positive: good communication, timely pick up, pleasant and friendly guide & staff, nice beach spot (incl. possible snorkeling), great views, amazing fish BBQ).
