- Bè Genuine Home Experience - The meeting place is located a few steps from the main beach (La Praia), the NaturArte artistic route and the very famous Praiano watchtower. Once they arrive home, our guests will sit down to drink a glass of wine made by us and taste a small homemade aperitif, after breaking the ice they will get to work. They will prepare the starter, two types of pasta and sauce (depending on the preparation) and the dessert, using products from our garden or from our fishing moments, following our family’s recipes. They will sit at the table enjoying all their work and finishing with the dessert and the handcrafted digestive or digestives. They will leave us with the awareness of having lived a unique experience and having enriched their culinary experience. The menu and recipes vary based on seasonality and the harvest in the garden and the daily catch. Below are some menu examples.

Back in the 1960s, Papa Beniamino (fondly known as “Bè”) delighted guests from around the world with unforgettable culinary experiences. Since 2019, we have been fully committed to making you feel at home, providing genuine and warm hospitality. A wonderful, educational and fun experience learning how to cook Praiano style! - What a wonderful, educational and fun cooking lesson with Carla and Rocco! We learned so much! For our stay in Praiano, this was the icing on the cake that consumated our terrific experience in that overwhelmingly picturesque, beautiful Amalfi coast town filled with the most friendly and helpful people. This cooking lesson is undoubtedly a "must-do" for anyone visiting Praiano.

The Highlight of Our Trip to Italy - We had such a great experience at this cooking class and can’t recommend it enough. Rocco and Carla were so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about the food we were making. They did a great job explaining everything in a way that was easy to follow, while still making it fun and engaging.
We got to prepare an amazing meal using fresh ingredients, and everything turned out delicious. It was also really special getting to try their homemade wine and it added such a personal touch to the whole experience.
On top of that, we had a great time with the other couples in the class, which made it even more enjoyable. It felt less like a class and more like a fun, shared experience. If you’re in Praiano and thinking about doing a cooking class, this is definitely the one to book.

Rocco and Carla were... - Rocco and Carla were amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience - so much so that they reached out the morning of our original planned day to give us the option to reschedule for the following day due to bad weather. We were so glad they did because it would have been a completely different experience. The food and wine were amazing. It felt like we were making dinner at home with long time friends. We would definitely recommend!

Best host ever! - Rocco was truly the best host. The location and views were amazing and he was so friendly, so informative, and so welcoming to his home: such a great experience if you’re visiting Italy.

Great food, great company, and a great family! - Rocco was extremely welcoming from the beginning of the experience! We shared many laughs. The food was incredible. My fiancé has already requested that I make it when we return home. Such a fun experience and I highly recommend doing it with Rocco and his family!

Incredible hospitality - We had the most wonderful experience at Rocco and Carla’s cooking class! Their home is absolutely charming with incredible views that made the whole experience feel so special. The food was delicious—fresh, authentic, and full of flavor—and they were such gracious, fun hosts. We loved learning their family recipes and can’t wait to recreate them at home. A truly memorable and heartwarming experience we’ll never forget!

Phenomenal Experience! - I truly cannot speak highly enough about Rocco and Carla's cooking class. Many of the experiences on the Amalfi coast can feel inauthentic and touristy, but at Be Genuine, you so clearly get a true experience of what it is like to live in Praiano. Rocco was a wonderfully gracious host - warm, welcoming, and so happy to answer all of our questions about what it is like to live in Italy. Carla, our teacher, spoke fantastic English and had lots of tips and tricks learned over generations of Italian cooking that she was more than happy to share. The ingredients were fresh from their garden and the food was absolutely delicious, but the best part of the experience was certainly getting to know this wonderful family. If you are looking to have an unforgettable experience on your trip, you will not regret booking this experience. Grazie mille, Rocco, Carla, and Alexandro!

Truly a memorable experience in Praiano - My husband and I loved our time with Rocco and Carla. We were looking for an authentic Italian cooking experience rather than a class tailored to tourists. Rocco and Carla provide just that! The atmosphere of their quaint outdoor kitchen, the intimate setting with a small group of guests and the knowledge and experience shared was just perfect! Highly recommend!

Amazing Afternoon in Praiano - My husband and I had a great afternoon with Rocco and his lovely wife. We enjoyed an authentic experience and tasted the most delicious food of our entire trip. The entire process was so easy and we cannot recommend this highly enough. You will have many choices for cooking classes but we strongly encourage you to choose this one!!
