- Kruger House Museum - The Kruger House is the historic Pretoria residence of Boer leader and President of the South African Republic, Paul Kruger. Constructed in 1884 by architect Tom Claridge and builder Charles Clark, milk was used in its construction instead of water.
- Church Square - Originally known as Market Square, Church Square is located at the historic heart of Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. Marthinus Pretorius, the founder of Pretoria, designated the square as a marketplace and churchyard. It was named for the church buildings that stood at its center from 1856 to 1905. Since June 1954, the square’s most notable feature is the statue of the late Boer leader and President of the South African Republic, Paul Kruger, at its center. Surrounding Kruger’s statue are four statues of anonymous Boer citizen-soldiers on a lower level of the plinth.
- Union Buildings - The Union Buildings serve as the official seat of the South African Government and house the offices of the President of South Africa. These impressive buildings are located in Pretoria, atop Meintjieskop at the northern end of Arcadia, near historic Church Square and the Voortrekker Monument. The expansive gardens of the Buildings are bordered by Government Avenue, Vermeulen Street East, Church Street, the R104, and Blackwood Street. Fairview Avenue is a restricted road, accessible only to officials entering the Union Buildings. Although not centrally located in Pretoria, the Union Buildings occupy the city’s highest point and are recognized as a South African national heritage site.
