After a convenient 8:30 am pickup from your hotel in Munich, the journey will take you to the southeastern corner of Germany, home to the Eagle’s Nest. The drive, lasting just over two hours, offers breathtaking views of the Alps along the way. Upon arrival, there will be time to explore the documentation center and Hitler’s former bunker. Then, a bus will transport you to the top platform in about 10 minutes. The final short section is via an elevator, and within a minute, you will be captivated by the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and lakes from an elevation of 1,834 meters above sea level. While at the top, there is an opportunity to walk short distances to several viewpoints, each offering a unique perspective, and then relax on a restaurant terrace to enjoy a Bavarian lunch in this extraordinary location. Typically, about two hours are spent at the summit before descending to the car for a 10-minute drive to the charming and picturesque regional main town of Berchtesgaden, where a delightful stroll through the old town and a delicious coffee await. Departure is around 4 pm, with an expected return to Munich by 6 pm.
