Exciting day out - I can only recommend the tour! We were picked up at the hotel in Surabaya on time at 8:15am and were back at 6pm. Minnie, our guide, has accompanied all this quite great and humorous. ES first went to the falls and then to Mount Bromo. Everything was perfectly organized and the driver guided us safely through heavy traffic and narrow streets. A very nice experience!

Very expensive but unique tour - The trip with Eastjourney was booked via the Get Your Guide app and was quite expensive, and still very worth it, mainly because it was private. Congratulations to the Mini guide for efficiency and professionalism, she is very fun and fun. For the tour it is necessary, first of all, to listen to the recommendations of the guide the day before about the weather and what to wear. The right shoes are important, as well as having the right clothes and not carrying what you don’t need: nothing more or less, I left details in the rating of Mount Bromo. The pick-up at the hotel was very punctual around 8 a.m. and then followed by car for almost two hours towards the Madakaripura waterfall, first at the meeting point and then by motorcycle to the entrance of the park. No fingerslip, no closed shoe or climbing; it has to be something that can wet and that doesn't slip, because if you walk on wet stones - I myself was barefoot! All right up to the bridge, then leave the dry clothes with the guide and continue climbing a steep wall to a platform where there is a pool of water from the waterfall. Turning is more complicated than going, be careful. You don't need to bring water, towel, backpack, anything, all of this is useless weight to carry! Then, for those who are hungry, you go to a partner restaurant, which was not the case, because we decided to go straight to the volcano and enjoy it before the horde of tourists from the sunset. The stop point has kiosks and bathroom (3000 rupees), nothing to "irrigate the bush", here the reality is another, they are much more cast than the Brazilians. The terrain is fine sand, then you walk on dust / ash with a certain tilt, until you reach the feet of the more than 200 steps that lead to the crater, more than 2000m high. Be very careful at the edge of the crater - a slide and fall inside it or roll down barracks! It is better to wear a mask because of the sulphur fedor, depending on the wind direction. Finally, you go to a viewpoint, from where the view of Mount Pani loves, also depending on the weather. The return to Surabaya in peak time can take up to 3 hours, the tour is charming despite being quite expensive.

- We did this tour with Minnie from Surabaya. It’s a one-day combination tour of Mount Bromo and Madakaripura Waterfall, eliminating the need to wake up at 11:30 pm for the sunrise tour. We visited the waterfall before Bromo, which was great as it allowed us to avoid the crowds at both sites. We took some great photos at the waterfall and were able to swim in the cool water. By the time we arrived at Bromo, it felt like our own private park. We stayed till just before sunset, and the change in light was beautiful. Excellent execution of a long but worthwhile day in East Java. Thank you Minnie!

Greatest trip to Bromo and waterfall ! - We had a day full or greatest sceneries, activities, and just the best planning and help from our guide. Nita is kind, helpful, and a pro when it comes to helping my mother with photo taking.

Great experience with some improvement points - I had a great experience guided by Andre. He is super friendly and coordinated everything I needed. Additionally, he is knowledgeable about Indonesian culture, which added significant value to the experience. I truly enjoyed the journey to Mt. Bromo and Madakaripura Waterfall. However, I have a few points for improvement: I did not expect the trekking at Madakaripura Waterfall to be quite challenging. I wore white shirts and pants, which ended up getting dirty. If the organizers had provided this information beforehand, I would have chosen to wear black clothing instead. Also, the guide for the waterfall hike was too fast, both on the way to and from the waterfall. While he tried to support me, his pace was too rushed, which limited my opportunity to explore the beautiful nature around us. Additionally, communication was difficult because he did not speak English. Some other guides had impressive camera skills, which highlighted the gap in experience between them and our guide. He was a nice person, but he should be more mindful of his customers' needs. Considering only my experience with Andre, I would give him 5 stars. However, factoring in the overall journey I’ve described, I would subtract 1 star. Thank you so much, Andre!

Overall a great tour - Overall, it was a great tour, my tour guide was Minnie, she is wonderful tour guide, very friendly and informative! I've done a day tour due to my knee, and there were not many ppl around, no crowds and very quiet. Minnie helped making pictures and they turned out very good! On the way to the waterfall, we were assigned another guide (necessary for the waterfall area). He was very skilled at taking pictures and videos. The only negative point is, the Jeep driver made videos for his own usage without asking for consent. I was told by the tour guide that he is doing a TikTok livestream, apparently he has his own TikTok channel... In Europe it's a no-go and totally off-putting, but seems to be common here in SE Asia. So consider that you might end up live on TikTok, when booking this tour... I would've really preferred, if the guides asked me if I agree to using photos or videos of me for their own purpose (the answer is no)...
