Clear recommendation! - The tour was really great. Despite the rainy season, I was lucky with the weather. Just a little fog on the Bromo and a great experience to stand directly on the crater of an active volcano. Very impressive. The waterfalls were also beautiful. You walk there partly through the river in the middle of the rainforest, hear loudly the birds everywhere and then arrive in a ravine below the falls. It's really picturesque. I did the tour with André. He was very friendly and helpful. We talked a lot about the country, the culture and the history of Java. He spoke English very well and even knew a few words of German. I can only recommend the tour. Of course, the weather has to play along, which can sometimes go differently in the rainy season.

1 Day Bromo and Waterfall Tour - Despite going into hedging rainy season and not being able to go to the madakaripura waterfall, Layla had a good alternative to go to another waterfall. We had a very nice day!!

We had a rainy day so the Waterfall was closed, however Layla offer us an alternative to visit another waterfall which we loved.

BEST - This was probably the best day of my entire trip. Although the waterfalls were muddy, I didn’t care one bit. Everyone was so so kind and sweet and I loved being on the tour solo so that I could go at my own pace. Mama Minnie took good care of me- and special thanks and shout outs to other who made this day so special, Dravis, Tiful, Yus, Andre, and Jarvis (apologies if I spelled anything incorrectly).
Tips I wish I would wish to know beforehand: bring sunscreen from the private car to the jeep- I got majorly sunburnt and didn’t have sunscreen with me once we left the private car not knowing how long/where etc - flowers should only be 20,000 idr - don’t leave anything on benches at waterfall it may be taken! Also I’m so glad I brought tissues!!! And hand sanitizer Bathrooms didn’t have which is expected.
Again, thank you thank you

The best guide 🫡 - Our Bromo trip was absolutely unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Layla. From the very beginning, she wasn’t just a tour guide. She felt like a friend. Warm, caring, and so easy to talk to, she made the whole experience even more special.
Layla knew all the best spots, especially for pictures, and helped us capture countless beautiful memories. She also shared so much about Mount Bromo, but what we loved most was how comfortable and fun she made the journey. She truly went out of her way to ensure we had the best time, and we really did.
If you’re planning a Bromo trip, we highly recommend asking for Layla, you won’t regret it. We came away not just with amazing memories, but also with a new friend. 🫶🏾

Exciting day out - I can only recommend the tour! We were picked up at the hotel in Surabaya on time at 8:15am and were back at 6pm. Minnie, our guide, has accompanied all this quite great and humorous. First we went to the falls and then to Mount Bromo. Everything was perfectly organized and the driver guided us safely through heavy traffic and narrow streets. A very nice experience!

Very expensive but unique tour - The trip with Eastjourney was booked via the Get Your Guide app and was quite expensive, and still very worth it, mainly because it was private.
Congratulations to the Mini guide for efficiency and professionalism, she is very fun and fun.
For the tour it is necessary, first of all, to listen to the recommendations of the guide the day before about the weather and what to wear. The right shoes are important, as well as having the right clothes and not carrying what you don’t need: nothing more or less, I left details in the rating of Mount Bromo.
The pickup at the hotel was very punctual around 8 a.m. and then followed by car for almost two hours towards the Madakaripura waterfall, first at the meeting point and then by motorcycle to the entrance of the park.
No fingerslip, no closed shoe or climbing; it has to be something that can wet and that doesn't slip, because if you walk on wet stones - I myself was barefoot!
All right up to the bridge, then leave the dry clothes with the guide and continue climbing a steep wall to a platform where there is a pool of water from the waterfall. Turning is more complicated than going, be careful.
You don't need to bring water, towel, backpack, anything, all of this is useless weight to carry!
Then, for those who are hungry, you go to a partner restaurant, which was not the case, because we decided to go straight to the volcano and enjoy it before the horde of tourists from the sunset.
The stop point has kiosks and bathroom (3000 rupees), nothing to "irrigate the bush", here the reality is another, they are much more cast than the Brazilians.
The terrain is fine sand, then you walk on dust / ash with a certain tilt, until you reach the feet of the more than 200 steps that lead to the crater, more than 2000m high.
Be very careful at the edge of the crater - a slide and fall inside it or roll down barracks! It is better to wear a mask because of the sulphur fedor, depending on the wind direction.
Finally, you go to a viewpoint, from where the view of Mount Pani loves, also depending on the weather.
The return to Surabaya in peak time can take up to 3 hours, the tour is charming despite being quite expensive.

Great experience with some improvement points - I had a great experience guided by Andre. He is super friendly and coordinated everything I needed. Additionally, he is knowledgeable about Indonesian culture, which added significant value to the experience. I truly enjoyed the journey to Mt. Bromo and Madakaripura Waterfall.
However, I have a few points for improvement:
I did not expect the trekking at Madakaripura Waterfall to be quite challenging. I wore white shirts and pants, which ended up getting dirty. If the organizers had provided this information beforehand, I would have chosen to wear black clothing instead.
Also, the guide for the waterfall hike was too fast, both on the way to and from the waterfall. While he tried to support me, his pace was too rushed, which limited my opportunity to explore the beautiful nature around us. Additionally, communication was difficult because he did not speak English.
Some other guides had impressive camera skills, which highlighted the gap in experience between them and our guide. He was a nice person, but he should be more mindful of his customers' needs.
Considering only my experience with Andre, I would give him 5 stars. However, factoring in the overall journey I’ve described, I would subtract 1 star.
Thank you so much, Andre!
