Breathtaking views of mountains and town below. - We had some snow in June and threw snowballs. You are right on the edge of a cliff after two lifts. A great refugio restaurant offers everything from drinks to cold sandwhichs or hot food, A do not miss experience though tickets are not cheap.

Not a review of this company but of the Super 8 itself - This is not a review of this tour company but of the Super 8 itself.
Myself and a friend did it today. It’s very well signposted EXCEPT AT THE BOTTOM OF RED RUN 8 Falzarego lift so you don’t really need a guide. There is a sign post to go right, don’t take it , that just brings you back to the start, you have to take the lift up (also a sign post for the super 8 but hidden as you go down the run.
Best to start at cinque torri, it can be reached from cortina via a gondola or drive to it as it has a big car park
The horse ride was a waste of money, the bus to bring you back is another flat red run to the village, not the first hotel you see, but our bus from the village did also stop there so maybe try to be it from there
Would I do the super 8 again or recommend it, probably not. Some beautiful scenery but not much better than elsewhere, the killer is all the flat bits , there are so so many flat bits that seem to go on and on so a lot of pole work (forget it if you are a boarder).
Also confusing as you need to get a bus back to complete it

“I’m the f***ing boss” - Terrible experience, I’ve never had to deal with such rude customer service in my life. My snowboard binding broke when I got off the lift stranding me at the top of the mountain (I was 3 lifts up at this point, at the mountain peak, with no way down). The lift attendant managed a miracle temp fix with his pocket knife to get me down the mountain. When I returned to the shop, I asked if could get a refund for just that one day of my reservation day since my day had been completely shot which I thought was a fairly reasonable ask. Instead, I was cussed at by the owner and told it was not their problem that the binding broke. Paolo, “the boss”, gave all of the following incoherent reasons why I didn’t deserve a refund:
- “I fixed the binding in 3 minutes” - I was apparently somehow supposed to do the same at the top of a mountain without any tools, parts, or expertise
- “You could have called us” suggesting he would climb to the top of the mountain to fix the binding and then promptly followed that with “obviously I’m not going to come up there and fix your binding”
- “Whatever happens once you leave the store is your problem” washing his hands of all accountability for sending me up a mountain with faulty equipment
- “These things happen and it’s not our fault. Our boots have been exploding because they’ve been sitting around unused since Covid” insinuating he’s sitting on a pile of shoddy equipment he knows is bad but continues to rent out anyways
- When he finally conceded I was entitled to a “symbolic discount”, I asked how much to which he said “I’m the f***ing boss! I decide how much you get!”
The next day I returned my gear and he said that he had reflected on yesterday and decided to give me 7 euros back…I would have preferred an honest slap in the face. After handing it to me he told me that I forgot to say “thank you”…
