Best time ever!!!! - I cannot say enough good things about Barbara and her husband! We had a memorable and intimate and educational evening of learning about local culture and making the local cuisine. Getting to Barbara’s home was an adventure in itself! We could not ask for a more kind or fun or knowledgeable host. She exceeded every expectation I had of a cooking lesson in Italy! Highly recommend. It was the highlight of our three week trip! And now we have a skill and a story to share with our own family

5+ Stars - 5+ star experience, but PLEASE download WhatsApp and be prepared for potential confusion for meet up. We walked up from Riomaggiore to the GPS meeting point, Google Maps sent us on a mile + uphill hike which was a workout in and of itself with beautiful views. We couldn’t find the location, but the host was incredibly understanding and walked us through it. Once there, the host couple was incredibly personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We had a wonderful time making some of the most amazing fresh food we had ever tasted. The views and kitchen were also beautiful, which is a cherry on top of a nice 5+ star experience. A total highlight of any Italian trip, very highly recommend.

Exceptional Experience - This is by far our favorite experience to date. Barbara and Stefano are gracious hosts and their home on the hillside is incredible. Their friendly pups made us feel like we were at a friends’ home for a dinner party. We enjoyed learning the local produce and methods of preparing our dishes as well as hearing more about the culture of the area. We highly recommend taking the local taxi to the site. The hosts will send you the contact for the taxi as well as step by step directions should you choose to walk or take the bus. However, we suggest you avoid the stress by using the local taxi that knows where to go.

Barbara and Stefano were wonderful hosts - It's a bit of a climb to their home above Riomaggorie but well worth the effort!Barbara shared some great tips on how to make excellent pesto. We enjoyed some bruschetta and made our first gnocchi. Stefano and Barbara were fun to visit with and gave us some great tips for the remainder of our time in the Cinque Terre region. Book through Cesarine direct or via Trip Advisor and you will have a great time!

Pesto and Gnocchi Class - What an adventurous afternoon. Barbara and her husband were a lot of fun and really enjoy what they do. We learned a lot and got to have some great food, wine, and company. The climb up to their house was thrilling and gave us a good appetite. I highly recommend this class.

10/10 experience with an absolutely charming host! - Absolutely amazing experience in Barbara and Stefano’s incredible home. Barbara is passionate about sharing her love of cooking, friendly, funny, and extremely accommodating. We had an excellent time during our pesto and Gnocci class during our couples trip and wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book another class with Barbara when we are back next.

Fantastic cooking experience! - Fantastic cooking experience in an amazing home in the mountains of Riomaggiore. Be aware however that traveling to this home includes a very Challenging walk downhill on a rocky path from the main road. All good if you’re reasonably fit but not recommended if hills or rocky terrain bothers you.

Truly authentic full course class and family meal - What a wonderful experience! We attended as a family, our kids are 14 & 16. Barbara was an excellent teacher and included everyone on the class. Her and her husband also shared several other family recipes and Italian secret cooking techniques. I’m so happy we didn’t do the large group touristy class, we saw those lines the next day and they were so long. This was perfect and we all enjoyed a home cooked meal together at the table.
