The Euganean Hills are a series of volcanic hills that rise between 300 to 600 meters from the Padovan-Venetian plain, located a few kilometers south of Venice. With guidance from the Local Tour Leader, visitors will explore the heart of the Euganean Hills. This journey includes visits to two renowned wineries in the Euganean region, showcasing the area’s finest wine production. The unique volcanic soil and favorable climate support the cultivation of various grape varieties. Among the white wines, the Serprino, a biotype of the Glera vine, is known as the “volcanic” version of Prosecco. Other notable whites include Pinot Bianco, Garganega, Chardonnay, and Manzoni. For red wines, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Carmènere thrive in this region. Guests will enjoy walking through vineyards, touring cellars, and participating in multiple wine tastings paired with local delicacies, while listening to the insightful stories of winemakers about their finest wine expressions.
