- Rua Lucinda Anino dos Santos F - “Where can one find the best bifana in Lagos?” This is a frequent question at The Kitchen, and the answer might surprise you: right here, when you prepare it yourself with our culinary expert, Corinne.
This experience celebrates Portugal’s most iconic sandwich and its surrounding flavors—simple, rich, and perfect for sharing.
Upon arrival, participants will learn to marinate the pork for their bifana, allowing it to rest while the rest of the menu is prepared. Next, a creamy rice pudding is made—taste a little, but save room for what’s next!
The class then moves on to traditional petiscos: a hearty Algarvian tomato stew and black pork chouriço grilled over an open flame—smoky and bursting with flavor.
No bifana is complete without homemade fries—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, just like the locals make them.
Throughout the class, enjoy water, wine, and beer (approximately two drinks per person).
Finally, everything comes together: your bifana, followed by dessert with a Portuguese liqueur served over ice.
This is more than just a cooking class; it’s the answer to the bifana question—a relaxed exploration of Portuguese cuisine and culture.
