Arrival in Shanghai. O/N Shanghai
Shanghai Pudong International Airport - Upon arrival by flight or train, your local driver and guide will greet you with a welcome sign displaying your name and transfer you to your hotel.
Huangpu River - After checking in and taking a short break, you will be transferred to the Bund area to commence your 3-day Shanghai tour with a cruise on the Huangpu River (the cruise lasts for 50 minutes). Along the riverbanks, numerous landmark buildings showcase the city’s past, present, and future. Additionally, the Yangpu and Nanpu Bridges resemble two dragons spanning the river, with the Oriental Pearl TV Tower nestled beneath their arches, creating a scene known as ‘Two Dragons Playing a Ball’. This makes the Huangpu River Cruise a fantastic way to discover the city’s history, culture, and captivating scenery.
The Bund (Wai Tan) - Later, enjoy leisure time at the Bund area to admire various buildings in different architectural styles. There are plenty of photo opportunities here, and you will have some free time to explore on your own.
Shanghai - Finally, your guide will accompany you back to your hotel.
Shanghai. O/N Shanghai.
Shanghai - Your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at around 09:00 AM. You will be taken to the renowned Suzhou Town, approximately a 120-minute drive away.
Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan) - In the morning at around 09:00 AM, your guide and driver will meet you in the hotel lobby and take you to visit the Shanghai Museum, which features eleven galleries and three exhibition halls with a rich collection of Chinese paintings, calligraphy, ceramics, bronze, and minority costumes. You may spend two hours here.
Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - Next, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the beautiful Yu Garden. Located in the old town, Yuyuan Garden is the city’s most famous ancient site, known for its ingenious layout and delicate architecture. The garden’s treasure, Yu Ling Long (an exquisite jade stone), an artificial hill, is considered one of the three most famous peaks in Southern China.
Yuyuan Old Street - Then, visit the Yuyuan Bazaar, also known as Yuyuan Market, located outside Yu Garden in the heart of Old Shanghai City, near the Old City God Temple. The area features many traditional Chinese buildings now used as commercial stores selling local products, snacks, jewelry, souvenirs, antiques, and more.
Shanghai World Financial Center - Afterwards, visit the Shanghai World Financial Center and ascend to the 100th floor for panoramic city views. It is the world’s 8th tallest building and the 4th tallest structure in Mainland China. The 100th floor features a 55-meter-long viewing gallery, the second-highest observation deck in China, higher than the viewing platforms on the Canadian TV Tower (447 meters) and the Dubai Tower (440 meters).
Xintiandi - Finally, visit Xin Tian Di, a former neighborhood of old Shanghai that has been transformed into a fashionable pedestrian street with fine restaurants, upscale clubs, and boutiques.
Shanghai - At the end, your guide will accompany you back to your hotel.
Shanghai Departure. The tour ends.
Shanghai - Your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at around 09:00 AM. You will be taken to the famous Zhujiajiao water town, approximately a 60-minute drive away.
Zhujiajiao Ancient Town - The Zhujiajiao water town is renowned nationwide, with a history spanning over 1,700 years. Known as Shanghai’s Venice, it shines like a bright pearl amidst lakes and mountains. Three places in the water town are worth visiting: Kezhi Garden, Qing Dynasty Post Office, and Fangsheng Bridge. Your tour guide will accompany you to these sites.
Kezhi Garden, built in 1912, features various pavilions and buildings, a lotus pond, stele corridors, a bridge of nine turnings, and diverse plants. The stele corridor displays calligraphy inscriptions from the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644 AD) with high artistic value.
In the Qing Dynasty Post Office, you can see precious old postcards and letters from the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911 AD), and there is a post box with a carved dragon still in use today.
Fangsheng Bridge, constructed during the Ming Dynasty, is the largest and longest stone arch bridge in Shanghai, featuring five arches.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport - Finally, your guide will escort you back to your hotel in Shanghai or drop you off at Shanghai airport/train station, marking the end of your 3-day tour services.
