• Pichavaram Mangrove Forest - Guests will be collected from their hotel in the morning and transported to the village of Pichavaram, located 40 miles from Pondicherry.

Upon arrival in Pichavaram, guests will enjoy a boat ride through the mangrove forest waters that connect to the Bay of Bengal. The forest boasts approximately 20 different tree varieties and spans a diverse range of habitats, including channels, creeks, gullies, mud flats, and sand flats. It is home to over 200 bird species, such as Snipes, Cormorants, Egrets, Storks, Herons, Spoonbills, and Pelicans. Additionally, various types of seaweed, fish, prawns, crabs, oysters, turtles, and otters can be observed here.

• Chidambaram Nataraja Temple - Following the mangrove forest tour, guests will travel to the town of Chidambaram, a half-hour drive away. In Chidambaram, they will visit the ancient 10th-century Nataraja Temple, one of the few temples in India where Lord Shiva is worshipped in his dancing form, known as Nataraja. The expansive temple complex covers 50 acres and includes shrines dedicated to several other deities, including Devi, Vishnu, Surya, Ganesha, and Nandi.

Guests will then enjoy lunch (beverages not included) at a local restaurant.

After lunch, guests will be driven back to Pondicherry and returned to their hotel.
