Volcano hike tour - Excellent day trip from Mexico City! It was a good workout but not technically challenging, and views were great. Our guide, Alan, was amazing.

Excellent Trek up the Volcano - This trek was outstanding. It is by no means easy and requires good physical fitness. Bernardo, our tour guide, was very helpful. He regularly checked in with us, explained what was coming up next, and told us more about flora, fauna, and geography of the volcano. I highly recommend this tour because the views are great. But it is physically demanding and strenuous and require being comfortable hiking at the altitude with ground and rocks being at times slippery.

Good scenery and great food! - Very good experience, very nice trail, with excellent landscapes of Popocatépetl and Iztaccihuatl, the guide very knowledgeable and very friendly. Besides, I didn’t know that the tour already included food, so it was a pleasant surprise, since when we started walking we were given canes and a backpack containing snacks and drinks (cake, peanuts, chocolates, sesame bar, electrolytes, water, as far as I remember). After the long day walking we were also taken by some rich quesadillas (also included in the tour!). The guide is patient and adapts to the different levels of the members, I touch with 4 people besides me and some were relatively slow, the guide handled the situation well so that we all had a good experience.

Excellent day hiking... - Excellent day hiking amongst 2 large volcanoes! Great to get out of the city and see the beautiful mountains! Hike was not difficult, 13 km with about 400 m elevation gain, and wandered through various terrains including a waterfall with icicles! Our guide, Alan, was excellent and knowledgable. The lunch afterwards was so good and local. Would highly recommend this adventure!

Peaceful day away from the city - Nice, long, yet easy hike. The trail is mostly a dirt road, bit it is scenic and peaceful. A very nice way to spend a day in a beautiful place away from the city. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgable. The food was very tasty, and the tour well organized. We were lucky and saw the volcano erupting.

Well organised easy walking tour - It is a nice walking tour, very well organised, Mexico Traverias is a reliable company and on time. We got nice snacks in a backpack for the tour from them. However consider which tour will you choose, because for us it was way too easy (14km 300m elevation gain). They have multiple day tours and those are more difficult the guide said. The place where we got the lunch after was sweet, but the food itself wasn't so good. It is pricey.

It would be great if it weren't for the end of the trail (road). - The first 8 or 9 kilometers are incredible. The last 4, on the road with cars, are not good. Bernardo was a very good guide.

Nice walk, beautiful... - Nice walk, beautiful views. Nice guide. A good experience overall. However, I’d appreciate some more information from the guide about the park, volcanos, flora and fauna. Our guide did not really talk much.
