- Temple of Santa Maria Tonantzintla - This is a prime example of popular Baroque art. The temple dates back to the 16th century, and “Tonanzintla” means “Place of our little mother.” In pre-Hispanic culture, Tonantzi is one of the names of the corn goddess and is associated with the protection of people. Undoubtedly, this temple is one of the most beautiful and extraordinary in Mexico, showcasing Mexican Baroque at its finest: adorned with corn and dark-skinned angels with indigenous features.
- Temple San Francisco Acatepec - This temple displays Mexican Baroque. Between 1650 and 1750, it was decorated by Puebla potters with Talavera Poblana mosaics, giving it a unique beauty in Mexico.
- Plaza de la Concordia - Here, you can explore various attractions on your own. Start with the Portal Guerrero, featuring over 46 semicircular arches spanning 170 meters, one of the longest in the continent. You can also visit the Ex Convent of San Gabriel, one of the oldest in the country, built on the ruins of the Temple of Quetzalcoatl. Inside, admire frescoes dating back to 1533 and paintings depicting the life of Saint Francis of Assisi. Next to the Ex Convent is the Royal Chapel, built in 1540 to indoctrinate the indigenous people. Its beauty lies in its 49 domes. You can also visit the Casa del Caballero Aguila, where paintings and artworks are regularly exhibited. Finally, you will have free time to visit the Cholula pyramid (entry not included) and enjoy the local cuisine.
