Eager to explore the Mexican Caribbean, I embarked on a sailing excursion from Puerto Aventuras to La Bocana Cove. With the promise of sun, sea, and adventure, I couldn’t resist the call of the ocean.

As we sailed towards La Bocana Cove, the onboard experience was nothing short of spectacular. Mau, our bartender, crafted the most refreshing pineapple and mango margaritas, each sip a burst of tropical delight. His mojitos were equally impressive, rivaling any I’ve tasted during my travels. With a drink in hand and the sun setting on the horizon, the moment felt almost surreal.
The culinary delights continued with Luis, our onboard chef, who prepared a feast that tantalized the taste buds. The ceviche was a symphony of fresh flavors, and the fajitas were cooked to perfection. The guacamole, with its vibrant taste, was the perfect accompaniment. As we dined, the boat’s Bluetooth system played a curated playlist that added to the lively atmosphere, making it a true celebration of life on the water.
An Underwater Adventure
No Caribbean adventure would be complete without a dip beneath the waves, and the snorkeling experience did not disappoint. Our guide led us to a vibrant underwater world, where schools of fish danced around us, drawn by the fish food he provided.
