- Peninsula Valdes - This Protected Natural Area, recognized as “Mankind’s Natural Heritage,” boasts one of the most captivating ecosystems globally. It is home to Whales, Orcas, Sea Lions, Elephant Seals, Magellan Penguins, Maras, Guanacos, and Choiques, all coexisting in the same environment. Approximately 35 miles from Puerto Madryn, visitors reach El Desempeño, the main entrance to Peninsula Valdes. After another 30 miles, they arrive at Puerto Piramides, where from June to December, boat tours offer the chance to observe the Southern Right Whales. Throughout the rest of the year, nautical excursions provide opportunities to see Sea Lions and appreciate the stunning scenery. From Puerto Piramides, the journey continues to Caleta Valdes, 47 miles away, where visitors can marvel at the magnificent Elephant Seals and Penguins. The tour then proceeds to Punta Norte, where Sea Lions, Elephant Seals, and occasionally Orcas can be spotted. On the return to Puerto Madryn, a stop at Los Pajaros Island, home to a diverse array of sea birds, concludes the visit to this remarkable Protected Natural Area.
- Centro De Visitantes Istmo Ameghino - The visitor center offers a comprehensive overview of Peninsula Valdes and its attractions. Additionally, the viewpoint provides delightful views of both Golfo Nuevo and Golfo San Jose, as well as Los Pajaros Island.
- Puerto Piramides - From June to December, it is possible to embark on optional whale-watching tours (not included in the fee).
- Caleta Valdes - From September to April, a small colony of Magellan Penguins can be observed along the caleta. At the mouth of the caleta, Southern Elephant Seals can be seen almost year-round.
