Trying Odisea Patagonica is adopting it;-) - If you want to spend a wonderful day at the Valdés Peninsula, I strongly advise you to choose Odisea Patagonica! After booking a few days before arriving from our cruise ship, I was able to communicate very easily with them to find out where to meet. Perfect organization. We were 3 and had the chance to be in 4x4 with Santiago who is a golden guide! And I weigh my words so much that this specialist and passionate man taught us, throughout the excursion, about land and sea fauna, flora, the history of Puerto Madryn, the Valdés Peninsula and Patagonia. We spent 8 hours fabulous with him and were able to see Guanacos, elephants and sea lions and Magellanic penguins. Unfortunately, the time of the tide did not allow us to see killer whales but Santiago's knowledge quickly made us forget this! I am a photographer and thanks to him I was able to take very beautiful photos. We have the chance to go around the world for 4 months and this is the first excursion, since we left a month ago, that I book directly with a local agency. And I did so well!!! Thanks again to Santiago and Odisea Patagonica for an unforgettable day!

Fun day touring the peninsula - When I booked this tour, I thought we would be on a bus in a small group. However, this is an individual tour. Our guide, Sergio, picked us up outside the cruise port and we started the day, just the 3 of us. He was an incredible guide and was very knowledgeable about the area and everything we saw in the peninsula - which was breathtaking. I highly recommend this tour if you are in port for just the day.

A successful private trip to the Valdés Peninsula. - Many thanks to our great driver and guide. His translator was also recommended. We had a private tour for four people and were at all the viewing points well before the tour groups, so we were able to observe the animals in complete privacy. We would like to thank you for the wonderful day.

Peninsula Valdez guided by Marcela with Odisea Patagonica - It is always challenging to organize a shore excursion when passenger on a cruise. On one hand there is the possibility of going with the official cruise-arranged trip with the perspective of being funneled into a comfy AC-equipped bus with tons of people, shuttled to a place and brought back with minimal interaction with locals and little contribution to the local economy. On the other hand, arranging an independent excursion with a local compan, carries on top of the usual quality risk the major risk of timing: a sloppy organizational mistake and the ship leaves without you. I took the chance with Odisea Patagonica because in the few hours that we were docked in Puerto Madryn I wanted to maximize my chances of experiencing the best of Peninsula Valdez, an ecosystem unique in the world, and the trip Odisea Patagonica offered was heading to Punta Norte, its farthest point, famous for orcas observations. I could not have been happier. The organization was a breeze, thanks to Romina who was always quick in replying on WhatsApp, adapting plans as the sea conditions delayed the mooring of the ship and waited for us at the dock. Thanks to the driver who drove safely and efficiently, making the several hour long trip mostly on dirt roads a breeze and bringing us back to the ship with a large safety time margin. And, especially thanks to our amazing guide Marcela. She is not only passionate and knowledgeable, speaking multiple languages. She has such a vast and interesting life experience traveling through the whole of Patagonia, and South America in general that one could spend days on end listening to all her stories. Highly recommended as a guide for anyone who wants to explore these areas, as there is nothing she does not do from guiding land tours, to leading scuba diving trips to be the captain of a sailboat or catamaran through the intricate channels of Tierra del Fuego. Thanks for making a trip of a few hours into such a unique learning experience, Marcela! I’ll be back for sure in Patagonia and look forward to have you show me more of its magic!

Wonderful tour - The tour was wonderful, very beautiful road with different landscape where we could see the animals in their natural habitat. We could see a lot of sea lions and their cute breeds, but we did not see orcas, because the tide was low, they come with high tide, according to the guide. We were in late February and it was very hot and dry, don't forget your water bottle. On the way we stopped in the village of Puerto Piramides. The full tour took approx 5hr, and was worth too much.

Awesome - Had a truly fabulous time. Our Tour guide was awesome, Informative, pointed out the different land wildlife. When arrived at various areas, he pointed out the sea life, how to identify the species, the gender of some. Driver great, safe driving and kept us in comfort with air conditioning. Also stopped for us to see the wild animals as we were on route. Fully recommend this tour.

Very far away and little visibility of the animals - It took more than 2 hours to travel, much of it on a gravel road! Bilingual guide but gave little information about the place and animals! He was actually a driver and not a guide! The place had penguins and sea lions but without binoculars the observation was impaired! The animals were at least 30 meters away which didn't give us the experience we would have liked! After an hour of observing a really beautiful landscape, we passed through Puerto Pirâmides and returned to the city in time to return to our Cruise, but without time to visit the little shops in the center in front of Porto! For the price I expected more, and next time I would hire directly upon arrival as it would be much more affordable and I would choose Punta Tombo to see the penguins up close!

Very uncomfortable - There were 6 passengers, the driver and guide in a low roof van. I was in the very back in the middle seat. I have low back discomfort and this was so uncomfortable we spent 3-4 hrs in the van and most on gravel roads. Couldn’t see out of the windows or take photos The guide speaker didn’t work well so hard to hear from the back The lunch was homemade sandwich
