• Puerto Madryn - Begin your journey of discovering Península Valdés as soon as your cruise ship arrives in Puerto Madryn. Join us and board a modern, comfortable vehicle. Enjoy a brief city tour to learn about its history while heading to the reserve.
• Peninsula Valdes - Embark on the adventure with a tour guide who will help interpret the environment. Keep an eye out, as the reserve is home to unique species such as Guanacos (Llamas), Patagonia Rabbit, Lesser Rhea, Grey Wolf, among others.
• Centro De Visitantes Istmo Ameghino - Drive to the vast Peninsula, connected to the continent by a strip of land known as Ameghino Isthmus. At certain points, you will see both the Nuevo and San José gulfs simultaneously and enjoy views of the typical Patagonian landscape. Make your first stop at the Carlos Ameghino Isthmus Visitor Center, where you will see a small exhibit of local flora and fauna.
• Caleta Valdes - Continue to Caleta Valdes along a barren gravel road to marvel at the Magellanic Penguins colony. This inlet’s exceptional value is due to its biodiversity. Keep an eye out for Orcas; if you are lucky, you might spot them patrolling these coasts in pods. Next stop, Punta Cantor. Here, the trails and viewpoints allow you to observe colonies of elephant seals and sea lions.
• Peninsula Valdes - As you travel along the gravel roads, the safari continues overland. Be sure to scan the horizon; among the bushes, you might spot guanacos, choiques, and maras crossing the Patagonian steppe.
• Punta Piramide - On the return journey, you will be taken to Punta Piramide to watch a sea lion colony from the top of the cliffs. Thanks to the location, you will admire one of the most beautiful landscapes of the area. After a day full of nature in its purest form, return to Puerto Madryn and get dropped off outside the pier on time.
