Amazing - We were able to gallop down the beach and got some amazing photos. The horses were great for beginners. The pina colada was served in a pineapple. Great trip!

Had a blast!!! - The guides are great, theyre not pushy about extra tips/charges and even gave us tips on people to watch out for. The horses are allowed to actually run or go but they are so well behaved at the same time.

Nice long ride with short gallops - People were friendly and helpful, nice long ride. Care of horses is lacking, typical of a poorer country. Workers make extra effort to help tourists

Like a moving postcard. - Exceed expectations. Very thoughtful guides and willing to take pictures with our camera. Our cruise ship was 15 mins late and they even sent a van just for our party of four.

Absolutely amazing ! - This was such an amazing experience! I went with 8 other friends for my besties Bachelorette and it was a lot of fun. The tour guys were very helpful and patient with some of the girls who were struggling a bit. They were also polite and entertaining and made the experience a blast. The horses were mild and sweet. A lot of beautiful pictures were taken and we have great memories.

It was just the 4 of us... - It was just the 4 of us in our group that we booked, and everything was great. They were at our hotel early and we had 2 guides plus the photographer, Oscar, with us. Oscar was wonderful, as was the main guide. Felix - both of whom spoke English. We are not experienced riders, and we were very comfortable. I would do it again!!

Decent horseback ride through a jungle landscape and along a beach - Tour company (Raymon Tours) included pick-up and drop-off just outside cruise ship ports security gate. Travel to where the horses are waiting is about 20 minutes away. Ride takes place along a dirt road through a jungle landscape which opens to a beach where the ride continues on for a while. You take a break at a little spot that has a very rustic bathroom, some vendors with trinkets for sale and drinks. After the break riders are given the opportunity to get on one of the horses in the water (bareback) and get led around by the guide or his assistant. The water is deep enough to get you wet up to your waist so either have a swimsuit to change into or wear quick dry clothing if you choose to ride in the water. After the horseback ride in the water you ride back down the beach then back down the dirt road to the starting point. Be aware that you may encounter swarms of aggressive mosquitoes (like I did) so bug spray or clothing that completely covers your arms and legs is recommended.

Decent horseback ride through a jungle landscape and onto a beach - Tour company includes pickup and drop off just outside cruise ship port security gateway, drive is about 20 minutes to where the horses are waiting (on a dirt road just off a major city roadway), ride takes place along a dirt road for a while then veers off onto a riding trail then onto a beach. Ride continues along the beach to a little break area where riders get off the horses for a short while to take a break (vendors will try to sell you trinkets, some refreshments are available for purchase). After the break riders are given the opportunity to get on a horse (bareback) in the water where the assistant guide will lead the horse around. The water gets several feet deep so if you choose to ride bareback in the water, bring a swimsuit or where quick dry clothing as you will get wet ip to your waist. After the horseback ride in the water, you return back through a jungle landscape to the starting point. Be aware, there can be, and were during my ride, aggressive mosquitoes that will "eat you alive" so keep skin covered or use a very good repellent.

Fun morning for us - It was a bit "bare bones" but the price is right and the host Blas and his staff were helpful and kind.

Shame on you!!! - The shake down on the beach, for a tour to make me or anyone one feel that way. You should be ashamed. I have been to D R plenty of times. This was by far the worse!!! Thought for sure I was taking my last breath that day!!!!
