Maimon - The fun adventure starts just 10 minutes from Amber Cove and 30 minutes from Taino Bay in a small village called Maimon.
At the home base you will get your gear and a few safety instructions before you head off into the countryside.
The tour starts with driving through the small local village Maimon. You will explore the Dominican nature and culture with a stop at an authentic little cigar rolling shack where you learn about cigars, sample of organic hot chocolate and coffee. There is a stop at a local beach where you can go for a swim if you would like to.
Please remember to wear clothes that you don’t care about, because you will get dusty and dirty.

Embark on an engaging adventure in the Dominican Republic by steering your personal ATV through local townships, farmland, mountain ranges and ending up at the beach.
The journey begins with a traverse through the small community of Maimon. Here, you can immerse yourself in the Dominican landscape and traditions with a break at a charming, modest cigar rolling hut. Acquaint yourself with the art of cigar making, while also having a taste of pure hot cocoa and coffee. The stopover also has a tiny storefront where you can buy local merchandise.
The itinerary includes a pause at a nearby beach where you have the optional activity of taking a dip.
Don’t forget to dress in attire you do not mind getting messy, as it’s very likely you will end up covered in dust and dirt.

Beautiful ATV ride - We had so much fun. Alfonz was a great guide and led us through the beautiful mountains of the DR and stopped by a beautiful beach. I would definitely book with them again. On a side note, at the rest stop we probably would have purchased more if we weren't being pressed. I like to take my time and look at stuff. Not have stuff put in my face. But at the same time I understand why they were. It was a humbling, fun and beautiful experience

Guided ATV Adventure in Amber Cove - Went with my 65 year old mom and SIL. We had such a great time!! The crew made sure we were comfortable operating the ATVs, hooked us up with safety equipment, and we were off.
It rained the night before so there was lots of mud to splash through! Our guide, David, took us through his neighborhood and gave us a water/bathroom break at a small shopping area. We were able to taste coffee, chocolate, and Mamajuana and hear how the coffee and chocolate beans were grown and roasted.
Afterwards more mud!
Then David guided us down the mountain and onto the beach. Great photo op with our ship!
There was also a team of paparazzi on the tour that caught lots of footage and took pics. Those are available at the end for a cost.
Overall it was a lot more adventure than I expected and we had a wonderful time!!

ATV Adventure, Just Book It! - The single ATV experience was fantastic! Unlike other experiences, you actually get to off-road. The tour takes you through scenic farm lands, rivers, "the jungle" and beach side! Would definitely recommend to friends & family!

Cruise stop 2025 - Great experience! Lots of water and mudding! Guides were great!!! We would highly recommend! Walk was about 10 minutes from port and ride to ATV’s was just a few minutes!

The best ATV experience! - This was a great excursion! David, our tour guide, did a wonderful job giving us a great adventure! A lot of the other ATV excursions we looked at mentioned only driving on a dirt road next to cow pastures. David took us into the jungle which was where we spent most of the time. It was beautiful and thrilling!

Fun atv tour! - We did the ATV tour. We got paired up with another couple, so there was 4 of us plus the guide and photographer. I personally am pretty experienced with ATVs, so the pace was a little slow for me, as well as the machines only being 300cc Chinese made units were a little boring to me, but I understand these tours need to cater to your average person that may be new to riding ATVs.
The tour does go through a small town, through a trail in the jungle, and along the beach, but most of it is along a back country road. It rained the night before we got there, so there was plenty of puddles to splash through and have fun with. We got pretty muddy from the knees down. You make a stop at a little souvenir shop (watch the prices - some things were way more expensive than they are in the cruise port, and almost all the items are also found in the port), and a stop at the beach, so wear your swimsuits!
Before the trip, they will send you a text with a map on where to meet up outside the port gates, along with a photo of the contact person. They are located just past the taxi stand on the side of the road. I know some people may feel it's sketchy, but we felt totally safe. The contact person got one of their drivers to give us a ride in the back of the truck (fun!) to the atv tour shop. When we were done with the tour, we had a few beers at their bar (very reasonably priced) then got a ride back to the port from the same driver/truck.
We bought the photo/video package after the tour, and the photos turned out great! They email or text you the link to download the photos and video of your tour.

Super fun time!🏖🛳 - We loved this adventure. Everything was great. Guides were fun. Our kids are older and they had a blast. The area we drove through was a bit rough looking, got dirty but not to bad. Made us very grateful for where we live. The day we went the weather wasn't great, so we saw beach but didn't get to swim. Very sad to see how much debris was on beach. Got a great video of our time and pictures for a great price.
Would definitely recommend this.

Family Fun - The staff were so friendly and attentive. This excursion was the definition of going above-and-beyond. We had a family of four, at all experience levels, and we were all able to have fun! It’s the best way to experience the jungle, towns and beach, while having the fun and excitement of driving ATVs. Truly impressed.

A Slow Ride on four wheelers - The tour leaders were incredibly helpful and sweet, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and safe. However, the actual four-wheeling was quite underwhelming, especially for younger adults seeking excitement. We drove through a village at an average speed of about 10 mph, and the tour guide wouldn’t allow us to go any faster, making the ride feel slow and boring. While the scenery was nice, the lack of thrill made it more suitable for older adults or those who prefer a slow pace. For anyone looking for an adrenaline rush, or fast and furious this companies not for you.
