- Fortaleza San Felipe - We’ll visit the historic San Felipe fortress, perfect for taking photos and exploring one of the province’s most significant landmarks.
- Malecon Puerto Plata - Our tour continues along the Puerto Plata boardwalk, with a stop at the stunning Cosita Rica beach to enjoy some beach time.

Jamel is the best! - Our tour guide Jamel was very friendly and knowledgeable. He definitely has a great sense of hospitality. It was like he knew everyone and all the questions we asked. The tour itself was great all the hot spots and we even saw more than what we were looking forward to.

Best Tour and Tour Guide - Best idea to book this tour. They keep the tour personalized so you can choose what to do the the tour guides are very knowledgeable. Jamell was the best! Would definitely suggest this if you wanted to see the sights.

Great tour great n price - The guide was very informative made sure we knew it was our private tour we asked a lot of questions and he took us many places he was very respectful and would recommend him to everyone I know. Half the price as going through the cruise line and was private not full of other passengers

Highly Recommend!! - We had a fabulous day with Jamell who is an absolute joy to be around. He told us much about the Dominican Republic and took us to all the highlights and a fabulous place on the beach for a delicious lunch. The day flew by. It was very enjoyable and I highly recommend this tour.

Highly Recommend... - We arrived at Amber Cove on November 6, 2025. On the Carnival Sunshine. I saw there page on Facebook and read the reviews and gave them a call and made reservations with Amber Cove Taxi a week before our trip. Time was set when would meet and location.
When we arrived we met our driver Jamal. He was excellent. We had reserved for 7 but met two people on our way to meet the taxi and he said we would all fit and we did. He was very informative and answered any questions that was asked of him. He helped with assisting one of the ladies with our group who had to use a walker and making it where she was able to get out and tour with no issues. We stopped and ate lunch and the food was excellent.
He was a great driver. I did not press my non existent brake the whole ride.

Fun tour in Puerto Plata - Great experience! Jamell was awesome and very knowledgeable of the area. If you don't book an excursion, this is the way to go! Highly recommended!

Cruise Solos Group! - We had a great day with Jamell, and a second driver who's name sadly I can't recall. They both were knowledgeable, funny and very nice. We were a large group who all met during a cruise and we decided to book this tour, it was a great idea! We loved spending the day seeing more of the area and getting some great pictures together.
Overall we had so much fun. The tour was great for the price!

Mamajuana & Memories! - Booked this excursion once the ship docked in Puerto Plata, DR. Walking to the pick up point was very easy; approximately 15 minutes for an 11am pick up . The tour guide for my van was Jamell Santos. Lively & lovely guide. Approximately 15 people in my group with 2 vans + wifi & bottled water offered. Jamell & his partner were very accommodating. Stopped whenever we wanted, took all the photos we wanted and answered all our questions. This tour is great value for the money. Many mamajuana shots, coffee tasting, hot chocolate tastings & got to see the transformation of butterflies + walked the pink street & umbrella street, The beach stop was our last stop - it was noted as the not so rocky beach however when we went - the beach was not safe to swim in. Only real complaint was the restaurant on the beach. Not the tour guides fault. Food came out slowly, in random orders & if you had to pay in card, it was an EIGTEEN (18) percent service charge to use card. There are ATMS available on the beach but Bring cash! & enjoy ur tour
