Tour Overview: • A brief history of the Dominican cigar industry and how it has developed since the Cuban revolution. • The process of planting seeds, growing great cigar tobacco, harvesting, drying/curing and preparing the tobacco to be made into cigars (including an explanation of the fermentation process). • We explain the aging process of tobacco and cigars and the effect these processes have on the final product. • We demonstrate how a cigar is made, the three ingredient components of a cigar, and what to look for in the construction of a cigar. • We demonstrate how to properly light and smoke a cigar. • Clients are invited into our aging room and we explain the effect of the environment, temperature and humidity as part of the process of creating a fine cigar.

Your private cigar factory tour includes a cigar, coffee, tea, water, or a non-alcoholic beverage, and a mamajuana shot. You’ll embark on an educational journey through the cigar factory, learning about the history of the Dominican cigar industry, the process of growing cigar tobacco from seed to harvest, the art of cigar making, the proper way to light and smoke a cigar, and how to assess cigar quality. You might even get the chance to roll your own cigar. Additionally, you’ll receive valuable insights into coffee and mamajuana. Our special mountain roasted coffee and full bottles of mamajuana are also available for purchase.

Great cigars and an even better staff! - Me and my Fiance Taylor had the pleasure of stopping here in our day in the Dominican on our cruise. We got some cigars and cocktails and went on the tour. Vayron was a fantastic guide, super friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Learned a lot about the cigar making process and even got to roll one ourselves. The cocktails the bartender made us were great, and we got to try some Mama Juana (Super Delicious). My only regret is not getting a bundle of cigars to go. I picked up a couple and was super impressed with the quality, I've been craving some ever since.
Thanks to our guide Vayron and the bartender for making our day trip fun and memorable! Will definitely be ordering some cigars and hopefully stopping back in sometime if we may our way back to the Dominican!

No More Big Brand Cigars For Me! - What an amazing experience! Truly exceptional cigars with quality I’ve not experienced with even top of the line big brands.
The tour itself was really informative about both Vivonte and the cigar making process. But, what really made the experience the best were the people there! Owner Glen was great start to finish. My wife booked the tour and Glen stayed in touch every step of the way. He even saved us some money (and made safety a priority) by suggesting he send a local driver to get us. The driver, Jonathan, was friendly and helpful, providing us with some local info and places to see and at half the price the port taxis would have charged.
When we arrived, Vayron greeted us, got us a couple of Cuba Libras to drink and then suggested some cigars to try based on our taste profiles. With cigars lit, we then went upstairs to tour the factory process and my wife and I even got to roll our own cigars with help from one of the ladies. You can tell they all take great pride in the work they do and are skilled in their craft.
After, we went back to the bar to finish our cigars and try a cup of their own coffee, which also was fantastic! Side note: the Vivonte Cameroon pairs nicely with coffee.
Vivonte will now be my “go to” when ordering on line. No more big brands for me! I may not have to order for a while since, I went home with more than can fit in my current humidor.

Glen was great! - Very interesting. Glen was gracious and we ended up hanging out most of the the day there. He provided us with transportation to and from. I even got to roll my own cigar to take home! Very fun time.

Great people and cigars - Great tour. Glen is very knowledgeable and personable. If you like cigars, definitely a place you must visit when in Puerto Plata. Great quality product and wonderful staff. I highly recommend this tour.

Relaxing and great - Glen was a great host! The mamajuana shots were delicious. their coffee as well was spectacular! The cigars were so smooth and very high quality! Our tour guide, unfortunately I forgot his name, was so knowledgeable and taught us very great tips about cigars ! He recommended nothing but the best and they definitely were the best selections. Rolling our own cigar was also a neat experience! I will definitely visit again as it all felt very welcoming. Thank you !

Recommendable! All about cigar production in Puerto Plata - Very friendly welcome, although we were a bit late. Guided tour of the cigar production in the house was very impressive. We were allowed to wrap our own cigar and learn a lot about the seeds, fermentation, storage of the leaves and subsequent production.
Everyone received their own cigar.
Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience! - I visited the Vivonte Cigar shop/factory. From first contact over WhatsApp to the visit, it was great and friendly service without any pressure to buy anything. I contacted the via WhatsApp and got a quick response back, they arranged to send their taxi driver. I called when I wanted to go and got picked up in 10 minutes in an air conditioned car. Quick ride over and didn’t pay the guy yet, will pay when he takes me back when I call.
The tour was quick, very small operation. Met the owner who was very friendly and nice. We chatted as I smoked a cigar and had coffee. It is a rainy day so perfect way to spent the time.
I purchased a few cigars to take home, they packaged my selection to take home. No push to buy anything.
Overall it was a wonderful experience! Would highly recommend if you want your enjoy a rainy day smoking a local cigar with nice and friendly people.

Vivonte - I had read good reviews, and I went there , Vayron offered me a cigar, and my advice on how to smoke it with more flavor, which I did not know!
He showed me around the whole factory, with three people rolling Torpedo cigars.
And showed me around the drying room (very interesting thing but very difficult to stay long because of the stinging eyes.
Then they asked me about my favorite cigars and I bought 30
What I really enjoyed was the knowledge side, and especially the small craft factory of very good quality

Update required - The information for the tour for Europe urgently needs to be updated. Vivonte is now in another building (please update the photo and address !!!), there was no lunch and drinks. But the cigar tasting and the cigars are excellent.
