Do yourself a favor and book with E&J! - We could not have asked for a better guide and experience in Puerto Plata, for the short time we were there. We were fortunate to get E from E&J, also known as Elian. Elian was very personable and an amazing guide! He truly catered to the clients and he will ensure you get the most out of your time with him. Elian is a great conversationalist and he is a very proud Dominicano, who is happy to share his culture. absolutely were able to customize our day and had an amazing time! We visited gorgeous sites, a chocolate factory, and a cigar making facility. But the capstone of our trip was the local establishment we had an amazing meal. When we told Elian we wanted a local lunch where there were no tourists. He took us to El Maguito, and let me tell you, this is a must try spot. We had a whole red snapper, and the flavors were delightful. We also ordered some crispy chicken, sliced avacado, red beans and rice, and fried plantains. Everything was delicious and I would eat there again and again until I tried everything, and then I'd start over. When I go back to Puerto Plata, which I fully intend to do, I will call upon E&J to help guide me around. I really want to experience some of the sites outside the city, the waterfalls and swimming holes in particular. Do yourself a favor and schedule some time with Elian.

Excellent trip in Puerto Plaza with E&J - It was a family trip for us, with two seniors with wheel chairs. Jose was excellent. We had a wonderful short excursion with Jose S. in Puerto Plata. He was very patinet and ensured our family stay together and be safe. From booking, confirmation, email communication, everything went well. Highly recommended.

An Amazing Time With Jesus! - An absolute wonderful day, and it could not have been better without Jesus Castro. A very friendly and knowledgeable driver. He showed us all of the real sites! Five stars for sure.

The way to go in the Dominican Republic - Elian was so hospitable and showed us a great time. We had him pick us up from the hotel and bring us back to the airport, giving a tour along the way. He took us through some local areas and explained how Dominicans live and able to answer any questions we had. He was nice enough to buy me a couple beers throughout the tour. When my wife wasn't feeling well, Elian pivoted and brought us to a great beach restaurant to relax. This is absolutely the team to go to if you want to enjoy your time in Dominican Republic

best tour of the island - Jesu’ Castro was a great tour guide. He is the total package as he takes photos, provides a great tour of the island, provides plenty of time for picking up souvenirs, and provides cold drinks. We made the best decision by hiring him to show us around. He was a real gem! Anything we asked of him he smiled and politely said, “ happy to service”.

One day in Puerto Plata !!! - Very picturesque city especially the colonial area. The pink street, the amber and chocolate museum, awesome. Its exquisite Caribbean food, delicious and friendly and helpful people.

Very disappointed Puerta Plata tour. - We were charged 3.5 hours, got 2, and most was riding around in circles. Our tour operator though very sweet spoke very little English, never said anything to us while we driving around, and was on the phone 80% of the time with personal business. Our Honda Odyssey broke down less than 2 hours into our tour in some residential area, he did have his friend pick us up, with 2 large jugs of gasoline in the back, made us very nervous. They brought us back to Port. Was not offered any type of refund, in fact we believe he was looking for his tip. We have used Viator several times before with really no issues.
