Great Private Tour - We had a great experience with Jesus Castillo! Before we even got off the cruise ship, I had a text on What’s App making contact and sending me pictures and directions to meet. We did not have to leave the port terminal to meet him. He personalized our tour and we had a seamless transition between stops. We went to the Amber Museum, Chocolate Factory, Umbrella Steet, the Pink Alley, the fort, Central Park, and a private beach. We were able to stay at each location as long as we liked and Jesus took lots of family photos. His van was clean and air-conditioned and he provided WiFi and drinks (water/coke). The private beach we went to (Blue JackTar) was not crowded. We had a canopy bed on the beach with restrooms and a restaurant nearby. We opted to skip the rum factory to spend more time at the beach. He also pointed out the Jesus and Poseidon statues on our way to different locations. Overall, this was a great experience. I will say that at each stop the locals are trying to sell you something, but I don’t think that was specific to the tour - this would have happened no matter where we went on the island. If we ever come back to the Dominican Republic, we would book with Jesus again!

We had an incredible day... - We had an incredible day exploring Puerto Plata with Kelvin as our private driver during our cruise stop at Amber Cove. From the moment he greeted us at the port with a warm smile, Kelvin’s friendliness and accommodating nature made us feel right at home. His air-conditioned van was clean and comfortable, perfect for our group of seven. Kelvin’s knowledge of Puerto Plata was impressive—he shared fascinating stories about the city’s history and culture. Kelvin’s fun energy kept us laughing, and he went above and beyond by taking amazing photos of us at each spot, capturing memories we’ll cherish and Kelvin ensured we were back at the port with time to spare. We highly recommend Kelvin for his expertise, warmth, and knack for making every moment special—book him for an unforgettable Puerto Plata adventure!

Guide friendly and tours were nice. - the guide was really nice and took us all the places we booked.
It was challenge to find him, but I missed an email was sent, because I was in a cruise, but everything went well at the end.
We weren't interested to buy anything at the places such as jewerly and run, only magnets., but it was nice and beach was beautiful

A very good choice for a cruise ship tour - This is a very good Puerto Plata tour, especially if you haven't been here before (this was our first visit). Our Tour Guide, Jesus Castro, was terrific. We got to see everything and never felt rushed. We spent ~2 hours in the city, visiting the Rum Factory, chocolate factory and other shops and highlights of the city, before heading to an absolutely gorgeous beach for the remainder of our tour. The entire tour felt very safe and Jesus was great at making sure we got lots of photos of our visit and learning some of the history of the island/city. My only complaint is that there I thought some of the proprietors in the shops and presenters at the factories worked a little too hard to "sell" things to us (at the shop that sold Larimar jewelry, the saleswoman was very pushy... and the prices weren't good. We would have bought something, but it just didn't feel right). For those of you who are considering this excellent tour, keep in mind that there were several blocks of walking. Make sure you wear good shoes and comfortable clothes, along with appropriate clothing to swim at the beach.

The best customer service! - Henry was our Tour Guide. He was friendly and happy throughout our tour. I left my credit card in the van by mistakenand Henry emailed me to let me know. He asked me how I wanted to proceed, so I asked him to cut up the credit card. He cut the card up and then sent me a photo of the cut up card. Henry saved me a lot of worries. He was honest, fun, friendly and also took some great photos of our tour! Thank you Henry!

A good option for combining city highlights and beach time. - We enjoyed our day in the Dominican Republic with Jahaziel. We liked that we could customize the tour to our interests and that it included both city time and beach time. Be warned, it’s a good twenty minute walk from the ship to the meet up point, so plan your time accordingly!
