Unique and Delicious Experience - We had a great time. Our Instructor Rod made this experience even better, he made us feel like one group rather than three groups of strangers. He made the educational portion entertaining and included everyone in each step.
Great value for an experience we won't soon forget. Plus we left with some delicious chocolate treats and even grabbed some coffee beans on the way out.

A fun experience! - My wife and I are on our honeymoon and decided to check out this cute chocolate shop! Recommended to us by our hotel. We loved our experience. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were fully entertained the whole time with the presentation and the hands on experience. We loved tasting all of the different chocolate beverages, especially the hot chocolate towards the end. Making the truffles was so fun! They teach you every step and it’s very fun and engaging. We loved our experience.
The chocolate tastes amazing!!

Great time making Chocolate - Oh, what a delightful experience! Our chocolate making class in Puerto Vallarta was truly a highlight of our trip, and a huge part of that was our fantastic instructor, Rodrigo. He didn't just show us how to make chocolate; he took us on a journey, starting right from the very beginning with the harvesting of the cacao pods. It was fascinating to learn about the entire process, from those initial beans all the way to the rich, aromatic paste we created ourselves using a traditional mortar and pestle. Talk about hands-on!
Rodrigo's explanations were clear and engaging, making even the more technical aspects easy to understand. He had a real passion for chocolate, and it was infectious! Beyond the bean-to-paste demonstration, we also had the fun opportunity to get creative with pre-made chocolate. The array of seasonings offered – from the subtle crunch of almonds and pecans to the warmth of cinnamon, and the surprising kick of chili and various salts – allowed us to truly personalize our treats.
Mixing our own freshly ground paste and then carefully pouring it into molds to chill was so satisfying. And of course, the best part was finally tasting the fruits (or should I say, beans?) of our labor – delicious, homemade chocolate candies that we crafted with our own hands.
If you're looking for a unique and immersive cultural experience in Puerto Vallarta, I wholeheartedly recommend this chocolate making class. And if you're lucky enough to have Rodrigo as your instructor, you're in for a real treat! It's a wonderful way to learn about the origins of chocolate and create some delicious souvenirs (if they last that long!).

Chocolate making: bean to bar in Puerto Vallarta - This was super fun and enjoyable! Learned some great history about chocolate making and did actually make chocolate bars from the chocolate beans. It was fantastic! You’ll want to take a taxi (don’t try to figure out the bus schedule if you have limited hours at Puerto Vallarta). Should be about $10.-$15.00 from the ship port

A chocolate adventure not to miss - Terrific Experience!! The chocolate making session was a highlight of the trip and a great intergenerational activity. Fascinating history shared while working hands on with cocoa beans. We had Elias as our host, guide and instructor - he had great energy, was hilarious, informative and connected with everyone. It was joyful edu-tainment all around. We tasted teas, ancient chocolate, spices and of course ended with modern chocolate of our making. Highly recommend!!

Yummmm! - This was so fun!! Not only do you get to eat chocolate, but the views from the class room is perfect!! The history of chocolate and how it has became what it is today was super cool. Learning why they added spices to the chocolate really makes me appreciate the modern amenities we have today! Martin was awesome!! The chocolate was delicious. Totally worth the 2 hours!
