Fantastic experience, would highly recommend! - The tour was one of the highlights of our entire trip! Bernardo and Marta were both such wonderful guides. They showed up to our hotel on time and immediately asked what we were most interested in seeing. When hearing that we had already covered the Malecon the previous day, they were happy to adjust the itinerary and have us spend more time in other areas. They showed us so many amazing areas of the city, told us about the history and background of each area, and made sure that we got to experience Puerto Vallarta as the locals do. The restaurant they took us to at the end for lunch was one of he most beautiful places we saw during the whole trip.

highly recommend for a custom tour by a true professional! - We took a tour with Bernardo to Sayulita. He customized our tour so we could spend the time on things that were the most interesting to us. We even went north of Sayulita to Penita. Penita was an unexpected delight with a beautiful beach and a farmers market. Bernardo was informative, fun and really added to our experience and understanding of the Vallarta area. Alfredo did a great job of teaching us all about Puerto Vallarta. He was very friendly and asked what we wanted to do. - If you are interested in the history of Puerto Vallarta and want a relaxing tour, this is a good option.

A wonderful day with the BEST tour guide! - If you’re looking for a low key, relaxing and fun tour of Puerto Vallarta with a guide that is friendly, born and raised there, interesting and well informed, Oscar is the person you want! He even took us to a “locals” restaurant in the mountains (do yourself a favor and ask to have lunch at Chico’s!) with the the most delicious and authentic Mexican meals we had ever had. (Also ask for a Mojito- they were delicious!) the views in the mountains were gorgeous, the church was beautiful, and the the people were friendly. Oscar went so far above and beyond showing us the sites, but also even dropped me by an AT&T store and offered to go in first so he could ask if they could replace my phone (I lost it to the ocean 😭). He was just delightful and I highly recommend his tour!!

Alfredo is the Best Driver and Guide Ever!!! - We came on a cruise ship. We had Alfredo as a driver. He was on time at on the pier where we were to meet. He was extremely professional but very friendly. He was wonderful taking the 6 of us around. He was a well informed guide and shared a lot of interesting information about Puerto Valletta. We were 3 adults and 3 kids aged 9, 12 and 13. We had freedom to change up the tour. We chose to go to an outdoor jungle dining experience. Once we got there one of the girls had some challenges (nothing to do with the restaurant) and needed to leave. He was so gracious to drive 3 of our party partially back with caused an additional 45 minutes of driving for him. He never complained to us about it at all. His main concern was that my granddaughter was felt safe and happy. So I would highly recommend getting him as your driver/ guide if you choose to book the tour, which was well worth the money. When I think back about PV Mexico I will always remember his patience and kindness towards our family. You can’t go wrong with this company and driver.

Go with Bernardo if he is available. - If you book this tour, you can’t go wrong if you request Bernardo as your guide and driver. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. He was: 1. A careful, safe and considerate driver, 2. Well versed in the history of and current trends in Puerto Vallarta, 3. An excellent commutator in English, and 4. Most accommodating of our desired amendments to the website’s posted itinerary. We learned so much more detail about Puerto Vallarta that it far exceeded our expectations.

City tour - Bernardo arrived early, had excellent English, and was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. He provided us with a variety of interesting options and stops, really tailoring our tour to our interests. We thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with him and would highly recommend this tour.

Bernardo’s the best!! - Bernardo knows EVERYTHING about PV! He was so informative and sensitive to our group. The tour has something for all ages but it is a bit long. Know what your children can handle and let him know you want the tour geared toward staying places longer they can enjoy. He will do and probably offer as well. He was wonderful!!

Touristy - Not a flexible tour - This tour is not flexible. If you like the itinerary provided you will have a great time. However, we wanted to flex into less touristy stops and beach time and this was not an option. We repeatedly told our driver we wanted to eat “where locals eat” and not at a touristy restaurant, but he drove us to a restaurant that was attached to a zip line park. We told him this was not what we wanted but then he drove us 45 minutes further away to another restaurant at another zip line park because “he got to eat for free”. The 90 min driving meant we had very little time for other activities which was disappointing.

Lack of communication! - Tour operator did not show at our original time of 10a.m. He only contacted us via email, which I was not able to retrieve our entire trip. Had to call Viator directly to find out where he was...they could not reach him either. Need alternative ways to communicate and NOT just via email. His phone number was inoperable!
