More Than a Lesson, Real Progress and a Great Experience - My boys had an outstanding experience with Emilian. From the start, he was very responsive and easy to communicate with, which made planning everything simple. One of the biggest advantages was that he isn’t tied to a single beach. He helped us choose the right break and time of day based on actual conditions, which made a big difference. The lessons went well beyond just getting the kids standing up. He focused on helping them understand the ocean, how waves break, how to read conditions, and where to position themselves. It was a great mix of theory and time in the water, and he struck the right balance based on their level and what they wanted out of it. We did two sessions at different beaches, which added to the experience. In between, he stayed engaged and shared guidance on surf spots and timing, helping us understand what to look for, not just where to go. Most importantly, the results were there. Both boys got up and rode a ton of waves, had an absolute blast, and came away much more confident and independent in how to approach surfing. They both specifically mentioned how much they liked Emilian and his teaching style. If you’re looking for someone who builds real understanding while keeping it fun, Emilian is a great choice.

Great lessons and a great experience. - It was an incredible experience. They picked a great location that was optimal for us as first timers. He explained the science and art of surfing very well. The instructor was patient and kind all the way through. It's because of the great experience that my kids are excited too try surfing again!

Came Back for a Second Year—Even Better Than the First! - We had such a great experience with our surf lessons that we came back again this year—and it did not disappoint. Last year we took lessons with Emilian and had such a fun, positive experience that rebooking was an easy decision. Our kids (13 and 10-year-old twins) did a 2-hour lesson, and the progress they made was incredible. By the end of the first hour, all of them were already catching waves and surfing on the shoulder—such a big improvement from last year! Emilian was patient, encouraging, and fantastic with kids, making the whole experience both fun and confidence-building. We’ll definitely be back again and highly recommend these lessons to anyone looking for a great surf experience.

Magnificent - If you truly want to learn how to surf then book this experience ASAP. I thought I was going to simply jump on the board and have instructions yelled at me. Instead my instructor was extremely knowledgeable and could articulate himself in a manner that was easy to digest ALLLL the information he was downloading into my brain. I will definitely book another lesson when I visit again !

Awesome trainer that teaches you about the waves - Emilian really cares about the waves and the impact on the students, he drove over an hour to Corral Del Risco so we can hit some good waves and along the way, he thought us the basics of the waves and where you would want to be. It was my first time surfing and I was able to catch some waves. Took us to a local seafood restaurant afterwards and it was also very good. Definitely recommend if you really want to learn about surfing. Would book a private lesson next time I visit.

Amazing lesson - Had such a great time with Emilian, Niko, and Pargo. They were great instructors. I’ve taken surf lessons before, but this was one of the best. On top of giving tips on how to position the board and our stance, they also gave us really helpful instruction on what to look for in the waves. I was able to catch multiple waves, some with their help and some on my own! Highly recommend if you’re thinking of surfing while in the Puerto Vallarta/Sayulita area. I don’t know if they can do this for every group, but we were all hungry at the end of class so we all took a trip to a nearby place for some amazing seafood before heading back to where we were staying. Nothing but great things to say about this experience!

Great experience! - Everything from pickup to the end was a great experience! Learned more than I thought I would & had a great time, truly feel like I improved after a few hours with him. Knows his stuff & can explain things in a way that’s easy to understand. Highly recommend!

Amazing Surf Experience As A First Timer - Emilian is an amazing surf instructor! He is very patient, friendly, and a great teacher. The whole experience from the start to finish went smooth, and it was such a fun time. As a first timer, I did not expect to do super well and catch waves. But with Emilian’s help, I surprisingly did really well and it was sooooooo fun. With the way he set me up to actually surf a wave, I was able to catch real waves and ride them out sideways going so fast. Highly recommend!! mmend!!

First time surfing - I have never surfed before and I didn't really have any idea about what went into it, but our guide was very thorough in explaining the way the ocean works in an easy to understand manner to the point that I was riding waves about halfway through, observing the principles he taught. Still much to work on, but I think this was a good foundation to start from and I know what I am aiming for now. If I had more time I would have booked more sessions with them to advance more, but my flight leaves tomorrow unfortunately so I wasn't able to fit it in. My only regret is not booking earlier in my trip All in all a good experience and I highly recommend them!
