Strong recommend - Fascinating & great value. Ansel is a delight; a font of wisdom & knowledge presented with passion & humour. I will be recommending her to my favourite podcaster, Blindboy, as a guest. I wish I'd recorded it to remember. Ansel - write a book!

Chocolate making - The owner of the chocolate factory is lovely and very knowledgable about Costa Rica and about chocolate making. It was a really enjoyable and highly informative experience. It was also great to have a hands on experience of chocolate making techniques. I would definitely recommend this activity.

Best Tour in Costa Rica !!! - The tour was recommended to us by a girl and we were very enthusiastic. There was not a single negative point that we could complain about. The location is not far from Puerto Viejo and very easy to reach on foot, for those who do not have a scooter or bike. The woman was very very nice and could explain a lot of interesting information about cocoa but also about all sorts of things. We made a lot of chocolate and could eat and keep as much as we wanted. It was the most interesting tour we have done in Costa Rica and Panama. It's 100% worth the money. We recommend it to everyone, even for those who don't like chocolate so much.

Lovely glimpse of life and history in Costa Rica - Lovely explanation of chocolate/cacao, its history in Costa Rica and its properties, followed by hands-on chocolate-making. We really enjoyed it; some of our group felt that the talk was too long and would have preferred more activity, others enjoyed the magic of the place and were content to listen.

Beyond amazing - Ansel was so insightful with the history of the Cacao tree and its origins. Very passionate about what she does and made us drinks, let us roast our beans, and sent us on our way with tempered chocolate goodies. Must do

Not what I expected - The lady seemed passionate about chocolate making but this class was basically hours of just listening to her talk about the origins of chocolate which got pretty boring after 1 hour. I had hoped for more of a hands on experience which we barely got to do. She let us crack open some cacao beans and that was it. Eventually we got to taste the chocolate which she literally told us would be gross because they are not meant to be eaten. Even the hot chocolate she made for us was bitter and had no flavor.
