Chocolate Making on the Carribean Coast with a Scottish/ Costa Rican twist - Very relaxing, informative and interactive experience with my teenage son. I never knew about the importance of Cocoa in Costa Rica and the Caribbean (I always thought it was only Coffee). Puerto Viejo de Talmanac's cooperatives have made the local area a real niche for Chocolate. Can't wait to go down to the Farmers Market in the Town on Saturday 6am start

Strong recommend - Fascinating & great value. Ansel is a delight; a font of wisdom & knowledge presented with passion & humour. I will be recommending her to my favourite podcaster, Blindboy, as a guest. I wish I'd recorded it to remember. Ansel - write a book!

Best Tour in Costa Rica !!! - The tour was recommended to us by a girl and we were very enthusiastic. There was not a single negative point that we could complain about. The location is not far from Puerto Viejo and very easy to reach on foot, for those who do not have a scooter or bike. The woman was very very nice and could explain a lot of interesting information about cocoa but also about all sorts of things. We made a lot of chocolate and could eat and keep as much as we wanted. It was the most interesting tour we have done in Costa Rica and Panama. It's 100% worth the money. We recommend it to everyone, even for those who don't like chocolate so much.

If you have the time, do this tour! - This is a great way to learn about how they make chocolate in Costa Rica and around the world. We ended up being on the tour for 3.5 hours as the host provided an abundance of information so take this into consideration when planning. In the end we did make chocolate bars that you get to keep.
