Magnificent creatures - Fun trip, saw several whales. Didn't get to swim with them, but that made sense. Conditions have to be right for the swim plus the whales have to be chilling out in an area not on the move. Still it was a great trip.

Incredible experience - Great discovery with our guide Keanu, very safe. The explanations are clear and we are well supervised. We swam easily for a good 30 minutes with a humpback whale with its young. Amazing experience. Thank you!

Highlight of my holiday - Hands down the best activity I have done here!!!! Perfect conditions and the captain and tour guide navigated the group smoothly! They found a mum whale with her baby and we got to swim for them for a good while very close up but still in save distance to not disturb them!! Totally worth every penny and still cheaper than other operators...Can highly recommend!! Made my last day very memorable and even got s little video of the whales as memory ❤️❤️❤️

Worth the trip! - Great crew rough seas so couldn’t swim but they got us respectfully close to several whales. Lots of activity and cool whale behavior!

Amazing experience! - We end up seeing a juvenile male that sang underwater and it was incredible. Our bodies were vibrating with the frequency. We then found another group and were so fortunate to have a beautiful female swim up and under the boat and spend a couple minutes swimming around us in the water It was outstanding We highly recommend Keanu and Naea were fabulous guides

Lagoon Dreams - If you’ve been on the lookout for a whale watching tour or just some quality maritime fun with family, I highly recommend the Te Moana Tahiti Exploration Tours. Even though we didn’t get to see whales (our bad luck), we had some of our best moments here on this tour. They even had snacks on board. We were docked in some of the bluest waters we have ever seen to go look at sea life in the ocean. My daughter is only 8 years old and has never been deep sea diving or snorkeling. The guide helped her navigate the seas and made this a wonderful first time experience for her. My husband and daughter had an amazing time bonding over their love of swimming. Patrick and Teremu were very friendly and understood our families needs. We will do this again on our next visit to Tahiti!

Alternatives provided for sea sickness - Awesome to see some whales breach. Unfortunately we did not get to swim with the whales but understand this is nature. I became very sea sick on the boat and the crew took me back to shore. Despite this, I was able to sit by the infinity pool (beautiful ocean views). The concierge also very kindly provided snorkeling gear and a kayak as I missed out on most of the tour! Very kind staff 🩷

Pleasant day, but not spectacular. - Very pleasant and informative boat crew and a nice experience. However, as explained by the crew, we were late in the whale season, so getting to see whales might be a challenge. We did get to see a mother and calf momentarily, but at a distance that couldn't be captured with a GoPro and would have needed a good zoom lens. Understandably, whale watching is an unpredictable business which made our trip an "OK" but not spectacular day. The stop at the sandbar for snorkeling was a nice addition, but there again, we only saw a few bright fish, but no rays were to be found. All in all, the trip was pleasant but not spectacular. One of our friends on board had been out with this crew previously and DID GET TO SWIM WITH THE WHALES and had a fantastic experience. On this day, though, we were not so lucky.

Whale watching not with such people - One star is still too many ! Yesterday, 09.11.2024 at the location Hotel Te Moana Tahiti I did a whale watching tour incl. Snorkeling, if possible, booked. This morning at 8.30 we started. I was really looking forward to it because I had already done several such tours on Moorea and Bora Bora before. At first everything was great until after a short time we saw a humpback whale mother with a calf. Soon after we went into the water with ABC equipment. The guide ahead and four snorkelers behind. The whales swam past us without seeing them. It's not a zoo where all the animals stand around. So everyone back on the boat and on a new one. On the boat, the guide threw up at the back of the engine. Then a few more times at the bow of the boat. Maybe too much alcohol? That was it with the guide, who was only sitting in the front of the boat holding his head. The captain continued to steer the boat and we also saw a whale jump. That was it. Other boats followed the whales and went into the water with them. With us this was over because the guide was quite unwell. There was also no attempt at all to go to the other boats and the whales. The tour was simply stopped and we drove to a turtle point. Then the captain went into the water with 3 people for 45 minutes for snorkeling. The guide was just sitting dazed in the front of the boat. Afterwards we went back to the marina. So we still had plenty of time to try snorkeling with whales, there were also some there. Only the guide couldn't get in the water anymore. I also complained about it to the center staff immediately and showed them the picture and film of the guide. I've never seen anything like this before on a tour. I told the staff they might contact the manager and describe this case because I wanted my money back or a new tour without this guide. But the manger refused my demand, so I felt compelled to report it. Never again with this organizer. If I want a turtle tour, I'll book a tour like that.
