Wonderful experience.... - Wonderful experience. Dhruv obviously knows his city and loves sharing it. He was knowledgeable, provided interesting, entertaining details, showed me side streets, pointed out interesting architectural details, shared historical facts and made the experience worthwhile and left me wanting to come back for more.

Fantastic personalized tour experience - This was such a spectacular experience for me. I was lucky that the others who had signed up for the tour didn't show up, so I got a personalized experience. Koustubh, my guide, was so fantastic. We discussed what had brought me to Pune at the start and he tailored the tour to my particular interests. It was a great mix of history, stories, and contemporary information mixed together. Koustubh took me to restaurants and tea shops specific to my interests as well as historical monuments that I wouldn't have known to visit. I got to know Pune in a much more intimate way than if I had visited these places on my own without the rich background and personalized guidance.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An immersive and authentic way to experience Pune - Dhruv turned the tour into a truly immersive experience of life in Pune. He is extremely well-informed and explains the historical sites we visited in a clear, concise way, always with a touch of humor.
What truly sets this tour apart is that he takes you to places no other guides do—hidden spots that hold great surprises and reveal layers of the city you would never discover on your own. He guided us through religious experiences both from a spiritual perspective and through critical thinking, offering a deep and thoughtful understanding of local beliefs and practices.
We tasted traditional dishes just like locals do. Dhruv was very punctual and explained everything with depth and richness of ideas. The tour is very well planned, with no wasted time, and it perfectly blends history, spirituality, food, art, and culture.
He is always willing to answer questions, debate ideas, and is flexible if you ask for changes or need a break. The greatest strength of this tour is that it truly makes you feel like a local in Pune.

Must do in Pune - Excellent experience with Dhruv, I am from Pune and wanted to take a touring friend through the history and important sights of Pune. It was a great experience to be a tourist in my hometown, learnt some new things and my friend had a great time learning about the city. Dhruv is very knowledgeable and has a calm and nice way of explaining. Most recommended.

Exceptional Pune Walking Tour with a Brilliant Storyteller as a Guide! - This walking tour of Pune was an unforgettable experience, largely thanks to the incredibly knowledgeable guide. Dhruva was very well informed and is a well versed narrator, who is easy to listen to. I am no native speaker, but could easily understand his explanations, thanks to his flawless English, to get the most out of the guided walking tour. He was super patient and took extra time to answer all my questions. He made the tour go far beyond what I expected.
You can feel his passion for Pune in the way he talks and how he connects the political, the social and the religious history of the city into a captive story, that makes the time fly by.
From his interactions with people along the tour, such as museum guides or temple attendants and pujaris, you can get a feel that is well known and respected.
Some practical tips:
Bring shoes you are comfortable to walk in and you can easily take off, for the temples. There are options along the way to have a small bite, but only if you want to and feel comfortable to do. Else, just let the guide know and you can simply skip ( e.g. if you don't trust your European stomach yet).
I had the 4pm slot and the evening sun painted Shaniwar Wada in a nice, warm light. Good time for taking pictures. The meeting point is inside the main gate, in front of the door of Shaniwar Wada.
All in all 10/10, highly recommended!

Best way to get a sense of what Pune is about - I had an amazing time, getting to see old Pune with Dhruva. He is both very knowledgeable and understands how to convey the history of the town in a greater historical context as well as in local terms. It was easily one of the most interesting and engaging guided tours I've ever had anywhere, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Royalty, Religion, Revolution, Reform - This is an enlightening walk that touches upon key aspects of Pune's journey through time. Dhruv is engaging, knowledgable and curious. He listens carefully, is humble about the limits of his own knowledge and take his time to explain.
Highly recommended activity for anyone who is curious about why Pune came to be the way it is and how the character of the city has endured, even as it has expanded exponentially in the recent past.

Fantastic walk with Dhruv! - Awesome experience with Dhruv!! He gave very detailed sharing of Pune’s local history and gave lots of fascinating facts about the different landmarks along the way. Even had a few stops for yummy local snacks! Truly a must do when visiting Pune!
