- Parque Arqueologico De Raqchi - Located approximately 120 kilometers southeast of Cusco, Raqchi is on the Ruta del Sol (Route of the Sun), which connects Cusco to Puno and spans 400 kilometers. This route was crucial for the Inca Empire, linking the capital to Lake Titicaca while passing through many significant sites, including Raqchi. The Incas meticulously selected their construction sites to monitor trade, control traveler passage, and safeguard the region from potential threats.
- Cusipata - At around 3:30 pm, the group will arrive in Cusipata, a key town and common breakfast stop on the popular “short route” to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) in Peru, located about 3 hours from Cusco. It serves as a base for accessing the trailhead for the magnificent Rainbow Mountain, which will be explored the following day.
- Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca - After breakfast, the group will take a van to visit the Rainbow Mountains, with the hiking point just 50 minutes away from Cusipata, where the night was spent.
- Cusco - The journey concludes with a return to Cusco after visiting Vinicunca.
