Unforgettable experience POR islands DE Uros and Taquile - The tour POR the islands DE Urcos and Taquile in Lake Titicaca was very nice and entertaining. Guide Samuel explained a lot about the history of the lake, the islands and their communities, it was perfectly understood and very interesting.

Splendid Uros and Taquile Islands Tour - This was a well presented tour of the culture and practices of the Uro on Uros Island and the Quecha speaking inhabitants of Taquile Island. We witnessed the stunning Sicuris dance on Taquile. Our guide Samuel was outstanding in the conduct of the tour. Lunch on Taquile overlooked a spectacular view of the Lake. The tour was value for money ++ !

Uros and Taquile Islands with Samuel - The pick up was punctual. First we stopped in the Uros Floating Idlands where we met locals and they shared how they live and let us into their homes. A Magical experience. After that we went to Taquile island where we ate typical food, saw typical dances. Samuel was a very patient tour guide,he waited for us and took us through the history of these places with passion! We would 100% recommend this tour if you are looking to connect with locals and mother earth.

Great experience! - Had a great time on this tour! It started off a bit rough, when we were picked up earlier than the stated time, causing a bit of chaos. But, after that, everything was wonderful! The Uros floating islands are just so interesting and impressive to see. Taquile was beautiful and we had the most amazing lunch with a stunning view! Definitely bring some cash as you may want to purchase textiles or other beautiful souvenirs. Highly recommend this tour!

Lovely day on the lake! - We had a great day on Lake Titicaca with Samuel as our guide. The floating islands were incredible and then we went to one of the natural islands, Equaled. It's a steep climb up to the village which is at 4000m above sea level but worth it. The day we were there was a festival taking place in the main square. The boat was comfortable and we enjoyed every minute of the trip

A quick dive into the culture of the islands of Lake Titicaca - We loved being immersed in the culture of the floating islands and of the getting to UNESCO world heritage aspects of Taquile island. All in a fun day, we learned so much about both cultures and what makes them unique. Very interesting and talented people. Samuel did a great job explaining the history and current cultural practices. There were demonstrations and lunch was delicious! Samuel’s sense of humor and ability to speak multiple languages made the whole experience that much better!

Tour to get a good idea of the cultures associated with Titikaka. - Well organized and structured tour. Our guide Samuel was very didactic and respected the schedules well. Interesting information that allows you to have a good idea of the cultures associated with the lake. I recommend the walk. Only problem is on the boat; although comfortable and being in good condition, it is not new. And they could also pass information about the use of jaleco saving lives. Security information should be part of any excursion.

Overall a pleasant trip, but Uros floating island is a tourist trip. - We liked the trip. The scenery on lake titicaca is spectacular. The Taquile island is truly a gem . Our guide, Samuel was really professional and does his job well. He told us a lot about the culture of people living on floating island and Taquile island, which are very interesting. He also took good care of us. The short trip to Uros floating island, however, was, in my opinion, a tourist trap. They gave us a brief and nice introduction of their life, then they start selling overpriced souvenirs. And the reed boat trip was very bad. They carried us to the middle of water canal and start asking us to pay, it was really awkward. And also there was a little girl on the boat who sang for two minutes and started to ask money from everyone. One the other hand the Taquile island is truly amazing. We took a small hike to the town plaza and enjoyed local prople dancing and a nice lunch. Inwish that they can let us stay longer on Taquile island and skip the Uros part.

Not the Private Tour I Paid For - I booked what was advertised as a private tour (over $100), but to this day I’m still trying to understand what exactly I paid extra for. Throughout the entire experience, I was with a large group — no private sightseeing, transport, or additional attractions. Had I known this, I would have never chosen the private option. Besides the double price and a bottle of water included with lunch, there were no additional perks. The visit to the Uros Islands was quite depressing and underwhelming — stopping at a single small community with two houses felt more like a staged presentation than a meaningful experience. As for Taquile Island, there was very little to see or explore; a random folklore show and a basic lunch were the highlights. After four weeks of traveling across Peru, I can honestly say Lake Titicaca was one of the most disappointing stops. I’m not sure I would recommend it to my friends. That said, the trip was generally well organized, and the guide was kind and spoke both English and Spanish. But make no mistake — this was not a private tour.
