Sea Pro are great! - We booked our Catalina trip with Francois at Breathless. He works in the water sports office. I am a certified diver, but my husband is not. This trip allowed us to choose our own adventure which meant that I could see the wall and the aquarium (dive locations) while he was given a nice snorkel tour. If you like undersea adventure, I recommend going to Catalina. It takes two buses and a boat from Punta Cana, but is a great whole day excursion. Once you get to Catalina be prepared to say “no” a lot. There are vendors who can get pretty assertive. The beach on the island is lovely. It looks like there may be some nice snorkeling along a rock wall to the left of the dock, but we just hung in the shade. Also, there is a trail atop that cliff which looked like it may be a nice little walk out to the point. If I was to do anything differently, I would have stayed in La Romana instead of in Punta Cana - would have been closer to what my husband and I enjoy most.

Fantastic! - We went to Saona Island with SeaPro and loved it! Was sold by Alfredo who made it super clear what we would be doing, didn’t oversell what we were doing but made it sound fantastic. We saw the shipwreck snorkelling, saw starfish and stingrays and fish. We got free drinks all day - rum and mixer, soft drinks and beer, and some basic snacks too. Seen reviews that Saona Island is small dirty and disappointing, which is rubbish! I will attach a photo as proof. There is a horrible review from a man from Sheffield below, and what he says isn’t true and unnecessarily picky. Ignore him and listen to me - go with SeaPro!

Amazing snorkelling and the beautiful Saona Island - I booked this excursion with Sea Pro at Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana. Direct on the resort. The Rep for this Excursion was a true gent with no hard sale his name is Pina. If you stay at the resort I highly recommend you go find this man. He didn’t just sell me an excursion he sold us a life time of perfect memories. The snorkelling is just amazing and so much to see. The sea water temperature is like a warm bath in short is like a human being in a massive tropical fish tank. The boat crew was also really good, kept us in drinks and snacks. The island is just paradise. Thank you Sea Pro...

Underwater Amazement! Francois is the best! - First and foremost I want to say a huge thank you to Francois at the Breathless resort!!!!! If you are staying at Breathless or Now Onyx (next door), you need to go see Francois at the SeaPro pavilion. He made our honeymoon vacation special with his personal service, knowledge, and genuine care. The personal attention that we received from Francois was out of this world! He provided all sorts of water and beach activities. We snorkeled and scuba dove at Catalina Island and got the true Dominican Republic underwater experience thanks to him. My wife got sick on one of the days we were supposed to scuba and he took care of it completely, rescheduling our excursion at no cost and even calling the room to check in on her! I will say that our honeymoon would’ve been a disappointment if Francois hadn’t taken the time to get to know us and recommend some amazing water activities. Catalina Island definitely did not disappoint either! The reef and aquatic life is awesome! Being a National Park I knew if was going to be beautiful, but it surpassed my expectations. We saw Lionfish, seahorses, stingrays, and some amazingly beautiful fish. Highly recommend this excursion over the others!

Great Experience - We chose Catalina over Saona for the privacy of the beach portion. While we did miss out on the Natural Pool I would highly recommend the Catalina experience. The Dive Masters and Staff were awesome and very helpful, the boats were clean, although I wish there would have been bottled water offered. Snorkeling was beautiful so much Coral and the fish were everywhere, the Wall was very cool, it dropped off from about 25 feet to hundreds straight down. Once on the Island the fun kept going. It is a private location only for a few of the excursion companies so there were plenty of beach chairs and not a ton of people. I would HIGHLY recommend taking the nature walk, its about a quarter mile but at the end there is a 15ft cliff jump into beautiful turquoise waters, with a ladder back out. So much fun! The bars have limited selection, at least the all inclusive ones but there is cash bar with more options. Food was great! Dominican BBQ and it was delicious. Overall great experience.

Good equipment - We did two dives with the Catalina excursion, the wall and the aquarium. The dives were good. The instructor was good. The excursion overall is pricey compared to other diving shops (outside of DR) even with the Black Friday deal we got online. The team of instructors and masters did not socialize much with the guests but overall ensured a safe experience and did their job well. The dive equipment was in good condition. The island was nice to visit after the dives where you had food and beer. The bus is long to get to the excursion and we waited at a gas station for about 30minutes due to an accident on the road.

Super SeaPro - Booked this direct in resort from Alfredo at the Dreams Palm Beach. The advantage with this trip was that out of our party of 8, one was Padi qualified. This trip allowed us to snorkel whilst he carried out 2 dives - one down the wall and one in the Aquarium. Pick up was smooth, be prepared for a quick swap of buses as lots of mini buses from different hotels meet in one location and swap to a bus. Briefing was thorough and then a short boat ride out to the wall. We have snorkelled in quite a few locations and this was amazing - a real abundance of different fish. On top of this I could snorkel over where my son was diving and watch him come up. Onto the Island, beautiful clear blue sea, soft white sand and more snorkelling. Food provided was plentiful. After a couple of hours on the island return to main land was good fun and boat captain having a bit of a laugh over the waves. My son enjoyed his scuba, and again his briefing was thorough. If you can, look online and book trips before you go as cheaper if they have offers on and they wouldnt budge in resort. Also found the cost of the photos a little excessive at $10 a picture, when on a another trip we were provided with a large photo package for only $40

Too much trouble - The diving itself was fine. However the transportation to and from Catalina was a mess. Going there we changed vehicles twice and then were put back in the same vehicle we started in! (Wasted almost an hour of our day). We had lunch on the island (fine) but then mass confusion as to how we were to get back. They put about 40of us on a small boat and only 50% of the people were given life jackets (that’s all there were on board). The boat ride completely drenched us passengers and the operator refused to slow down. Diving good - transport terrible
