Setting Sail to the Marietas Islands

The sun was just beginning to rise over Punta Mita as my wife and I made our way to the dock, ready for a day of adventure on the Marietas Islands Safari. The promise of hidden beaches, vibrant marine life, and the chance to spot whales had us buzzing with excitement. Lalo’s expertise as a captain was evident as he maneuvered the boat close to the blowhole, allowing us to witness the powerful geyser up close without compromising our safety. It was thrilling to feel the spray of the sea and hear the roar of the water.

Back on land, Eduardo, the owner, welcomed us with a delicious lunch of traditional shrimp ceviche. As we savored the fresh flavors, he shared stories of the islands and their conservation efforts. It was the perfect end to a day filled with adventure and discovery.
