Incredible wildlife and stories of the land – unforgettable! - Thanks to our guide Alex, we had an incredible experience. We were lucky enough to see a sloth moving from one tree to another right at the beginning of the trek — it was so exciting to witness that! As we climbed the mountain, Alex shared interesting information about the trees and plants around us. At the highest point, he told us stories about a shipwreck, the indigenous Bribri people, and the history of land development in the area. These stories were truly fascinating and helped me understand a little more about the history of the people who live in this region. I honestly regret not asking more about the indigenous history and culture — it made me want to learn more. After the trek, we took a break with some refreshing coconut water, and then the kayaking began — something I had been really looking forward to. Alex pointed out various animals along the way, and it was so much fun to paddle ahead while discovering nature with him. Thank you so much, Alex, for such a wonderful time. I hope we’ll meet again someday — take care and all the best to you!

Alex’s kayak tour and hike were the best parts of my trip in Puerto Viejo. - Alex was a fantastic tour guide. He was incredibly keen on finding all the animals that we could find giving educational tidbits about each animal and adding local lore. The kayaking was incredibly smooth and he gave a great explanation and tutorial for someone that was a novice kayaker.

Nice, chill day in the jungle 😊 - It was a great day. A relaxing trip kayaking on the river where we saw a lot of different animals (sloths, several differnt types of monkeys, spiders, lizard, a lot of turtles, a hawk, tucan, a small, shy caiman ++). We would not have seen them without our guide, Alex. After kayaking we went for a walk to find more sloths, and we also saw big iguanas in the trees, very cool If you want a nice, chill day in the jungle, looking at cool animals, book this trip. Alex is your man!🤩😊

Beautiful Ocean View and Saw Lots of Wildlife - Our guide was Francisco who was very knowledgeable and passionate about conservation and wildlife. We started off with a 1 hour hike where we stopped at a 360 viewpoint of the ocean which was beautiful. Next we kayaked on the river for 1 hour which was very relaxing. Along the way we saw 2-toed sloths, howler monkeys, white faced monkeys, river turtles, tiger heron, bats, and river otter (very rare to spot). Highly recommend!
