Best day ever - Best day ever. Sandy beach, waves, hot sun, shade & beauty. The food was served to us, fresh and delicious. My husband did snorkeling and loved it. Said the fish he saw were beautiful. Our day ended with a rain storm on the way back which gave us all a Giggle with the waves. Worth every penny.

I recommend this excursion! - The staff was friendly and engaging, the snorkeling activity was well led, safe and really, really fun, the beach site is beautiful with good amenities and the food was great! Koodos to the staff, they were fantastic!

A Fantastic Day on the Water! - This tour to Isla Tortuga was an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, it was packed with adventure, relaxation, and stunning scenery. The boat ride was smooth and enjoyable, made even better by spotting playful dolphins and curious monkeys along the way—such a magical touch to the journey! Snorkeling was a lot of fun, even though the water was a bit murky that day. It was still a great experience to explore the underwater world. Once on the island, having the option to rent lounge chairs made relaxing on the beach even more comfortable. Fresh fruit as a snack was a refreshing treat, and the cookies and coffee after lunch were a nice touch. The vegetarian lunch was decent—not the highlight, but still satisfying for the day’s activities. One of the biggest standouts was the incredible captain. As a big storm began closing in, he expertly navigated the boat back to shore, ensuring we made it safely and on time. His skill in handling the choppy waters was impressive, adding an extra layer of confidence and enjoyment to the trip.

Tour Isla Tortuga desde Puntarenas en pareja - Español - Excelente experiencia, la comida deliciosa y bien cocinada y la atención de los guías excelente. Pudimos ver delfines, monos y hacer snorkel. El muelle de donde sale la lancha queda en el Barrio Las Playitas. Tomar en cuenta que no hay parqueo cerca entonces hay que llegar en Taxi o Uber (si van desde Puntarenas). Tratar también de ir liviano. Si se lleva una hielera muy grande cuesta más a la hora de bajar al muelle o de la lancha. English- An excellent experience, the food was delicious and well-cooked, and the guides were attentive. We were able to see dolphins, monkeys, and practice snorkel. The pier where the boat departs is in Las Playitas neighborhood. Keep in mind that there's no parking nearby, so you'll have to take a taxi or Uber (if you're traveling from Puntarenas). Also, try to pack light. If you bring a large cooler, it'll be more difficult to get to the pier or the boat.

Great excursion - Snorkeling was amazing. Great day at the beach. Enjoyed the lunch. Walkable from cruise port which worked out great. All around a great excursion.

It was a great day on the... - It was a great day on the island swimming. The meal was good. The crew was entertaining. We all enjoyed the day.

Take a boat trip to an island is always a must do. - Had a lovely day at the beach, a few delays that were out of there control, food was good and the island was ok, water was super warm.

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING - The service we received was simply unacceptable. The tour guide’s behavior was appalling—at times extremely inappropriate and bordering on offensive. The level of service was so poor that a fellow traveler even sent feedback to their WhatsApp account, only to be ignored. Costa Rica is undeniably expensive, and while I understand that quality comes at a price, it’s reasonable to expect at least the most basic level of courtesy and professionalism from a tour guide. Isla Tortuga itself is a must-visit destination, but I strongly advise everyone to avoid this particular service provider. As members of a global travel community, it’s important that we look out for one another. I am sharing my experience in hopes that it helps others make informed decisions.

Sick - We came down sick and unable to attend. Have been impressed with prior Viator excursion, hate we got sick and never left the cruise ship.
