The Best - This was one of the best shuttle service I have ever used and is a step above the rest!!!!! I am a world travel and have hired plenty of driver services but nothing was like the supreme customer services my friend and I experience with jaco shuttle . The vehicle was clean, the driver was on time and went above and beyond. My friend wanted hair care products from a salon that was 3 hours away. We where short on time and wouldn’t be able to make it there before our flight leaving from SJO. Our driver had the products delivered to his office. Once he picked us up for the return trip he brought the products to us. I highly recommend this shuttle service. Take my word you want regret it.

Pricesmart purchase & delivery for those who hate the drive and shopping! - We used the new service of pick-up and delivery from Pricesmart in Alajuela. My husband hates to shop and the drive into the city, so the price was well worth it. I prepared and sent an online order to shullejaco - it was relayed to Pricesmart - and dropped off 15 minutes ahead of schedule. Great communication and follow-up. We will definitely use this service again!

Great service at a fair price! - I’m very satisfied with the service. Normally I would take the bus because it’s not that hard and much cheaper, but the situation requires a private shuttle. The company is very responsive and the price was almost half that of other private shuttles. The driver spoke really good English, and was very nice and helpful. I WILL use this service again if I’m ever in a situation where I can’t take the bus.

Things to know before you go to Costa Rica via SJO airport - Although we loved our trip to Costa Rica, the main thing to watch out for is SJO airport (Juan Santamaría airport just outside San Jose). This is intended as travel advice and not meant to scare you off. Costa Rica is a wonderful country with very nice people. You just need to be a little travel smart. I had read the review warnings about SJO airport and thought that we were prepared. Our flight arrived at midnight. We were told to either arrange a car in advance or take one of the "official" taxis. Everyone said UBER was not a thing there. WRONG! When we arrived, the exit from baggage claim is a zoo, even in the middle of the night. The "official" taxi was also a sham. Our hotel was 10 minutes away and were charge $45 US - they only accepted cash - which was explained only at the end of the ride - total rip off. We discovered the next day that UBER was easy to use there. UBER would have been about $15 (with tip) for the same ride. Next time, we plan to hire a driver to pick us up in advance. That is so much better than traversing the zoo as you exit the airport. Upon return, the airport website says there are lots of eateries and a big duty free store. A few people warned that the duty free was a rip off. They were correct. They were constantly changing the prices and trying to make deals with you. Everything was way above the prices you can pay elsewhere, so beware. The better eateries are NOT inside the airport. So again, beware. We ended up getting dinner at an eatery, the chicken sandwiches were terrible and expensive. Try to get something to eat before you get to the airport. If you go to Manuel Antonio, ignore all the locals trying to tell you that you must park with them. We knew this was a scam so we simply told them we were not parking, just driving through. When we got near the end of the beach area, we found a huge parking lot that was nearly empty. It was $8 US to park all day, so we took that and enjoyed the beach. So, you must beware of the people along the road who try to say they are official parking - they are not. Just like the "official taxis" at SJO - there are lots of scammers trying to get money from the tourists. Try to stick to driving the main roads, which are good. The roads through neighborhoods and more rural areas are narrow, steep and winding in many areas. I recommend get an SUV or 4WD. SUV is fine for most roads. 4WD for more adventurous places. The rural roads are pretty awful in places.

SCAM ARTIST! DO NOT USE GOJACO SHUTTLE! - SCAMMED!! Do not use GoJaco Shuttle when traveling to the airport from Jaco! Once they have access to your card information they will charge it as many times as they like! I have been texting, calling and using WhatsApp trying to get a refund for the charges to my card and they have given me the run around and then eventually just stopped responding! They are scam artists and I would not recommend any travelers take the risk! Use a trusted shuttle source from a hotel!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION!!
