• Playa Grande - We will go to the beautiful natural reserve of Playa Grande (20 min walking) where is our surf spot! Playa Grande is a beautiful beach with white sand between the jungle and the Ocean. This place is amazing!

After a short walk, we will start the surf lesson (2 hours including a break with fresh fruits).
Depending to your level, you will have a special surfboard. The surf lesson will start with a short training in the sand to explain you everything to make your experience unforgettable! (How stay in safety in the ocean, how to position your body on the surfboard to keep the balance…)

After these explanations, let’s go to the water! It’s by practicing that we learn! The surf instructor will stay behind you to push your surfboard into the waves.

Your objective for the first surf lesson? Stand up on your board, be confident and feel the sensations and the adrenaline surfing the waves! To summary: Have fun in safety.

After one hour surfing, you will have a break with the surf instructor to relax and regain strength… to return to the waves when you are ready!

At the end of the surf lesson, you will come back to Montezuma with the team.

Take part in a two-hour surf lesson led by our fun-loving, local surf instructors who are all authentic Costa Ricans. We are life saver certified and possess the ISA2 (International Surfing Association) certification to ensure your safety while surfing. Whether you’re a novice or a trained surfer, we’ve got you covered! We offer surf lessons in the frothy shoreline waves as well as out in the ocean.
