A perfect day in Pushkar - My partner Iain and I had an absolutely wonderful experience on our private day trip to Pushkar from Jaipur. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish — comfortable transport from our hotel pickup, perfect pacing, and excellent organisation. Our driver, Malik, was punctual, kind, and incredibly professional. When he noticed I’d forgotten my sunglasses before heading out into the desert, he was honest enough to let me know the ones sold in the market wouldn’t offer real protection and kindly took us to a reputable local store to buy proper ones — such a thoughtful gesture that really stood out. In Pushkar, our local guide Darshan was exceptional. Friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the town, he shared wonderful stories about the Brahma Temple, Pushkar Lake, and the town’s unique spiritual heritage. It made the whole experience so much richer and more engaging. We also loved the camel ride, which was such a fun and memorable part of the day — especially with our camel, Salman, who quickly became a favourite part of the experience. We had plenty of laughs and great photo moments, and it added a sense of adventure to an already special trip. We loved having the flexibility to explore at our own pace, soak in the atmosphere, and finish the day with a perfect cup of chai before heading back. This tour offered the perfect balance of comfort, authenticity, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended for couples or anyone wanting to see the real Pushkar in a meaningful and relaxed way.

Day trip Jaipur to Pushkar - The day trip from Jaipur to Pushkar was well organized. The driver Maliq picked me up at the hotel on time, stopped for chai, and even took me to an ATM on request. The place for lunch had an amazing view over the lake. I took the camel ride as an extra option before going into the old city of Pushkar. I had a seperate guide for the city as cars can not enter. I loved the whole experience. I can highly recommend it.

Very kind manager and... - Very kind manager and driver. Good English and good communication possible. The pick up at our Hotel was no problem, dropping us in Pushkar was also very uncomplicated. Can really recommend.

Worth for a day trip from Jaipur - Nazim drove us to Pushkar, we left our guest house at 8am. He was on time, reliable and polite and speaks good English. He offered to take us to a jeep/camel desert ride but we (my partner and I) were not interesred and preferred to visit Pushkar by ourselves. He offered to proovide a local guide he knew, we declined and he did not pressurise us for it. Overall great experience, a bit expensive however it would have been much more complicated to take a suoer cheap but much slower train or bus and we did not have much time that day. Plus you can decide how long you want to stay and what time to go back to Jaipur. (we came back at about 5.30pm but I believe 7 or 8pm would have been OK as well). Worth doing this day trip if you in Jaipur and want to see more of Rajasthan.

Great day - This day was so nice ! We went for camel rides, and Maliq, our driver, helped us find the best place to negotiate the price. We spent the day there to see the temples, the markets, and even stayed for sunset, and he waited the whole time ! It was a great experience!
