Great Wall at Shanhaiguan Pass (Zhendong Gate) - Begin your day with a morning pickup from Tianjin downtown by a friendly guide and driver, then travel to the Great Wall at Shanhaiguan Pass, situated in Qinhuangdao Prefecture, Hebei Province, approximately 186 miles east of Beijing. This was the most significant pass of the Great Wall during the Ming Dynasty, safeguarding the broadest corridor between China and its formidable neighbors, the Manchu, earning the title “First Pass under Heaven.”

Great Wall Museum - Accompanied by your guide, visit the Shanhaiguan Great Wall Museum. It is one of China’s three Great Wall museums, alongside the Badaling and Jiayuguan Great Wall Museums. Opened in 1991, it showcases the history, culture, organization, and military aspects of the Great Wall. Note: Closed on Mondays.

Laolongtou (Old Dragon’s Head) - After enjoying a delightful local lunch, proceed to Laolongtou, known as the Old Dragon’s Head. It marks the eastern starting point of the Great Wall built during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) and is the only section extending into the sea. The entire Wall resembles a massive dragon winding through China, with Laolongtou representing the dragon’s head stretching into the Bohai Sea. Spend 1-2 hours exploring here with your guide.

Beidaihe District - Following your visits to Shanhaiguan Pass and Old Dragon’s Head, transfer for about 1 hour to your hotel in Beidaihe (arrangements to be made independently).

Qinhuangdao Wildlife Park - Meet your guide and driver at 12:00 p.m. After lunch, visit Qinhuangdao Wildlife Park, a large city safari park with the highest forest coverage rate and one of the most beautiful environments in China. It houses over 5,000 animals, including many rare species such as Siberian tigers, African lions, brown bears, and black swans. It has become a popular destination in the Qinhuangdao Scenic Area. Upon arrival, your driver will take you inside, and you can tour the park with your guide, stopping for photos as desired.

Pigeon Nest Park - Next, continue to Beidaihe National Wetland Park and Pigeon Nest Park. Beidaihe National Wetland Park is one of the best birding spots in China, known as a birding haven. Spring and autumn are the prime seasons for bird-watching. Pigeon Nest is a must-visit scenic spot along the Beidaihe River. Watching the sunrise in Pigeon Park is an unmissable activity for all visitors! If interested, you can visit early in the morning. After the tour, you will be transferred back to Tianjin or your hotel in Beidaihe.
