Juma Mosque - Known as the oldest and largest mosque in Azerbaijan, the Shamakhi Juma Mosque is said to have been constructed in the 8th century when an Arabian caliph made Shamakhi his residence. The original Arabian inscription on the mosque’s portal indicates it was built in 744, making it one of the earliest mosques in Transcaucasia. The mosque’s design is unique in Azerbaijan, featuring a vast prayer hall divided into three separate sections connected by wide open doorways.
Nohur Lake - Created after World War II to provide water to nearby villages, Lake Nohur is a manmade lake that offers breathtaking views of the Caucasus Mountains. With its fresh air and water, it is one of Gabala’s most scenic spots, featuring a large, tree-lined body of water that reflects the green-blue hues of the Greater Caucasus Mountains.
Tufandag Mountain Resort - A must-visit for nature enthusiasts and sports lovers, Tufandag Mountain Resort reaches a height of 4,191 meters and offers a stunning landscape of pristine white snow and clouds drifting among the Caucasus Mountains. Opened in January 2014, it is Azerbaijan’s newest ski resort.

Sheki Khan’s Palace - In the latter half of the 18th century, Sheki was the center of a khanate, and two of its palace buildings remain accessible today. Karvansaray - Historically, caravanserais served as guesthouses along trade routes. As a hub of trade and craftsmanship, Sheki was home to several caravanserais, though only two of the five large ones from the 18th and 19th centuries have survived to the present day.
Aliovsat Sweets House - These sweet houses offer an authentic experience to enjoy Azerbaijani tea accompanied by a variety of local homemade desserts.
Sheki Fortress - Located about 4 kilometers from Shaki city on the summit of Garatepe Mountain, the Sheki Fortress dates back to the 8th or 9th century. Although now in ruins, it was once a fortified structure used for defense along the Kish River.
