• Kaiyuan Monastery - At 8:30 am, the operator will pick you up from your centrally located Xiamen hotel for a one-hour private car ride to Quanzhou, an ancient city. The first stop is Kaiyuan Monastery, established in 686 AD during the Tang Dynasty. The monastery features halls, pagodas, and an exhibition museum. The east and west pagodas are particularly famous for their intricate carvings.
• Tonghuai Temple of Guan Yu and Yue Fei - Next, the tour continues to the old town of Quanzhou, home to a vibrant temple dedicated to the Guandi god. This historic temple, adorned with colorful paintings, is situated in the heart of the old town.
• Qingjing Mosque - Following this, the tour visits the Qingjing Mosque, the oldest mosque in China, originally constructed in 1009 during the Song Dynasty (960-1279). The mosque contains ruins that showcase its extensive history.
• Luoyang Bridge - Enjoy a pleasant walk on Luoyang Bridge, China’s earliest stone bridge, built in 1053 AD. Marco Polo mentioned this bridge in his writings.
