Great tour in a stunning place with great guide ! - The Glenorchy tour with Chenai was fantastic. She shared a wealth of knowledge, humour & personality to make the day a fun and memorable one. Her passion for this place is remarkable and she continues to delve deeper into culture, history & local knowledge. The tour was comfortable , well paced, warm & morning tea was delicious! Highly recommend.

Beautiful half day tour with beautiful ladies ! - We booked a half day tour of Glenorchy and Paradise Explorer tour with Altitude tours on 18th June, 2025. Two beautiful ladies Anna and Amy who were our tour guides drove us to this beautiful village of Glenorchy and Mount Aspiring National Park.
The day was very chilly and misty for the earlier few hours so it had a different charm of its own.We were offered snacks with tea/coffee in the national park in the foggy weather, it was a very pleasant experience for us a family (we had two kids with us).
I really appreciate the knowledge of our tour guides Anna and Amy…..they made a lifetime memory for us and we will always remember this experience.

Amazing Glenorchy experience - Glenorchy was so gorgeous. We had an amazing group of people who made the experience so much better. Stuart was so good. He made the trip so enjoyable. Live laugh love Stuart. Next time have some green tea please and thank you.

Amazing - I recently did the Milford Sound and Glenorchy & Paradise tours with Altitude Tours — both were truly unforgettable experiences. By pure luck, Stuart was the guide for both, and he’s an absolute gem. He instantly makes everyone feel welcome and keeps the vibe fun and engaging the entire time.

Scenic views, warm hospitality and a perfect morning with Ana - We recently did the half day Glenorchy tour with Altitude Tours. The drive along Lake Wakatipu, past the Remarkables, and into Glenorchy and Paradise was very scenic. Our guide, Ana, was punctual, friendly and full of great local stories. Her storytelling was vivid and she explained the shooting sights passionately in detail. She even helped us snap some great photos. The road had a few bad patches but Ana's driving was safe and smooth. We loved the delicious morning tea Ana set up on a remote farm — complete with hot food, a picnic table and a picture-perfect view. The tour ends will a pleasant surprise!

Great time - Elaina was an amazing guide - so friendly and really cared to tell us all the stories but also to get to know us as well. Had a lot of fun on this tour. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to go to see these neighborhoods. She did a great job integrating the significance of these areas in films like LOTR and X-men

Paradise in the rain. - The only reason this was not 5 out of 5 was the weather which was no fault of Altitude Tours. It was raining, miserable with little visibility for most of the tour. The sun only came out as we left Glenorchy for the direct trip back to Queenstown. Paradise was a little disappointing. Thank you Stuart for taking the photos. At least we can say we have been to paradise 😊. Through all this Stuart was amazing! He was genuine, friendly and accommodating with a good sense of humour. I really appreciated the umbrellas. Stuart purposely didn’t dwell on the weather and soldiered on. His commentary was relatable and informative. I won’t mention the lack of green tea 😉. When the rain stopped and the sun came out the scenery was awe inspiring. This is my second tour with Altitude within a few days and I highly recommend this tour company.

Miss - I travelled with my family members to Glenorchy with Altitude tours. We had a great experience with an amazing tour guide Shanay. Shanay was so friendly and made our trip a fun filled with providing historical stories and information about the sceneries, lakes and islands. Glenorchy was an absolute breathtaking experience such a beautiful place. Shanay also arranged a cosy picnic brunch. She is a great tour guide. The only thing I thought was a let down about this trip was we had very limited time in Glenorchy. I felt rushed and was unable to view the red shed and lake properly. Otherwise a great trip.
