Starting from the Ziptrek Treehouse at the top of the Skyline Gondola, you’ll zip down the mountain, enjoying breathtaking views of Lake Wakatipu and the snow-capped Remarkables mountain range. With three different tours available, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re new to Queenstown’s adventure scene, eager to experience the world’s steepest tree-to-tree zipline, or ready to take on our latest tour, the Kereru, which includes a 21-meter drop!
- The maximum weight for any Ziptrek Ecotour is 125kg (275lbs). The Kea tour has a minimum weight of 30kg (66lbs).
- Gondola tickets are not included in price - we recommend a minimum of 60 minutes to access the upper Skyline complex from the base terminal, or at least 90 minutes in peak times
- Please bring an extra layer of clothing year round! Jackets, hats and gloves are recommended. Closed toe shoes are essential (no sandals, flip flops or heels)
- Prior to your arrival it is mandatory to complete a Participant Consent Form. The web link to this form will be within your voucher
- Youths under the age of 14 years MUST be accompanied by a paying adult (15 years and over) on tour. Those 17 years and under must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian who is 18 years or over.
- If you or anyone in your group has a medical condition or a recent injury please bring this to our attention. Pregnant woman are unable to go on tour.
- Not allowed for travelers over the weight limit of 125kg (275lbs)

Ziptrek Treehouse – Tour Check-In
The Ziptrek Treehouse is located at the top of Skyline gondola. Please turn left and walk approximately 300 feet (100 metres) from the Skyline top terminal building, just past the helipad.
Return point: Kereru and Moa tours returns to original departure point
Kea tour concludes at the gondola base

Amazing hosts lots of fun - Very cool, loved learning about the Forrest and lake Wakatipu- Pearl and Ben were extraordinary hosts cannot praise them enough

Fun for all the family - The Ziptrek team were great and made the adventure fun, while maintaining their professionalism for safety control and procedure checks. The ziplines themselves were great and fun was had by all of our group of 5. We did the Kea 6-line which was a blast, great views and sipping through the tree canopy. The 15-minute walk between line 5 & 6 was hard on the knees for one of our group due to the terrain - rocky paths and steps (they did offer transport between the two points but wasn't taken up). Something I would recommend for anyone to do, a great few hours that we will all remember.

Moa Zipline Tour - Thanks for an amazing zipline experience. The guides were supportive, encouraging and informative. The kids loved the challenges and I liked that I stepped out of my comfort zone and did it. I would recommmend Ziptrek to anyone visiting Queenstown.

Great Zipline Experience - Very enjoyable experience! Instructors were super friendly and explained everything really well. Whether you're by yourself, with a partner, or travelling with the family, it's a must-do activity if you're travelling to Queenstown!

Fun times up on a zipline - I'm 73 and had never taken a zipline adventure before. I went with 5 friends, and we all had a blast! Saucer, Stephen and Emelie were wonderful, not only calming us all down, but showing us a wonderful, fun filled adventure. They showed us they all had a great sense of humor, while teaching us all about the area we were in on each platform. (I'm a Grade 1 teach and was impressed with their teaching skills!) One of my friends had injured her knee earlier in the day. All 3 of them made sure she was super safe, while still having fun! There was also a family of 4 with 2 young fearless girls who they catered to. We all had a delightful, very exhilarating time & a great way to end our day. I highly recommend this adventure to everyone.

It was very fun and the... - It was very fun and the surroundings were spectacular. The guides were great and really knew what they were doing and were funny which added to the overall experience.
