• Palacio Nacional e Jardins de Queluz - The Royal Palace of Queluz, also known as the National Palace of Queluz, originates from the 18th century. This palace was constructed as a summer retreat for Don Pedro de Bragança, the future King Pedro III, and stands as one of the last grand Rococo style structures built in Europe.
• Sintra National Palace - The Sintra National Palace, also referred to as the Town Palace, was one of the residences used by the Portuguese Royal Family until nearly the end of the Monarchy in 1910.

Its construction commenced in the 15th century and showcases elements of Medieval, Gothic, Manueline, Renaissance, and Romantic architecture.

• Park and National Palace of Pena - The magnificent Palácio da Pena is a prime example of 19th-century Romantic revivalism in Portugal.

Located atop Monte da Pena, the palace was erected on the site of an ancient monastery belonging to the Order of St. Jerome. It was the brainchild of Dom Fernando of Saxe Coburg-Gotha, who married Queen Dona Maria II in 1836. Enchanted by Sintra, he decided to purchase the convent and the surrounding land to construct a summer palace for the royal family.
