An experience of Goa away from the more touristy areas. - This trip is fabulous! Our guide Pankaj was knowledgeable, interesting and very charismatic. An excellent ambassador for the company. We visited a temple, a cave, some neolithic carvings at a spice plantation and then went to another spice plantation for Indian snacks (as they called them). The trip was interesting and a great insight for our family into the more traditional goan way of life away from the more built up and touristy areas in south Goa. We hired a taxi to take us around to each area, which worked well.

A Refreshing Escape to Rural Goa - We had a wonderful organised day trip with Soul Travelers to explore the hinterlands of South Goa. There were four of us, and we weren’t 100% sure if giving up a day away from the hotel and beach would be worth it — but we were completely wrong. It with a super experience. The tour gave us the chance to experience the rural side of Goa and visit spice plantations first-hand, showing us a side of the region that most visitors don’t usually see. It was refreshing to step away from the busy coastal areas and enjoy the quieter landscapes, lush vegetation and wildlife. The day was very well organised, the food was delicious, and our tour guide was engaging and knowledgeable about the area. Two small tips: i) the second plantation is quite far down a very beaten track, so if you’re arranging transport from the hotel, it’s worth letting your driver know in advance. ii) would have been cheaper to book via trip advisor rather than directly with the tour operator. Overall, a fantastic experience and absolutely worth doing.

Goa hinterland and divar Island exploration tours - I discovered Soul Travelling through TripAdvisor and, after also checking their consistently high Google ratings, decided to book them for our three-day trip to Goa. We did the tours in February 2026, and we were lucky that there were no other groups scheduled at the time, so both experiences felt almost like a private tour with just our group of four. This made the overall experience even more personal and enjoyable. We ended up doing two tours over two days and were extremely impressed—both tours were well laid out, engaging, and totally worth the money. On the first day, we explored Divar Island, and the boat ride during the excursion was absolutely amazing—honestly one of the best things we did in Goa. On the next day, we did the Goa Hinterland tour. Atul, one of our Ambassadors, suggested choosing Goa Hinterland instead of Charo Island since we had already done Divar Island with him, explaining that Charo Island would have a similar vibe. That recommendation turned out to be spot on. Medora was our Ambassador for the Goa Hinterland tour, and she did an excellent job. The tour was scenic, peaceful, and immersed in nature, and the spots they had picked were absolutely awesome. Kushati Farms, where we visited a spice plantation, was especially beautiful with stunning scenic views—we loved it. The snacks offered at the end of the tours were delicious and a really nice touch. For both tours, transportation was not included, so we arranged our own taxi and reached the starting points ourselves. We booked a local taxi on a six-hour package, which cost approximately ₹2,500 as the base fare, with additional charges for extra hours and travel after 7 p.m. We were traveling with our 2.5 year-old daughter as well as an elderly family member, and both of them were able to comfortably do and enjoy the tours. There wasn’t excessive walking—just the right amount—making the experience enjoyable for both younger and older participants. This balance is something we really appreciated and is one of the reasons we liked these tours so much. Overall, we were very, very impressed with the experience and felt it gave us a more authentic side of Goa. A big thank-you to Atul and Medora for making the tours so memorable. Areas of Improvement One area that could be improved is communication around the authentic Goan lunch experience. One of the Ambassadors suggested booking a Goan lunch through Soul Travelling, and when we checked with the marketing representative on WhatsApp, we were told it would cost ₹990 plus taxes. We planned to book it the next day, but when we tried, we initially couldn’t get hold of him, and later were told that the lunch experience was not available. This was disappointing, as we had planned our day around it, so clearer confirmation upfront would be helpful. Another point is pricing . We were suggested to book directly, but we later realized that booking direct was more expensive because taxes were added, whereas the TripAdvisor price did not include additional taxes. After pointing this out, we were advised to book through TripAdvisor since it was cheaper. More transparent pricing across platforms would make the process less confusing. Safety during the boat ride could also be improved. Life jackets were available on the boat, but we were not asked to wear them. The ride was slightly choppy, and since we were traveling with a 2.5 year old, it felt a bit unsafe. Guests would feel more comfortable if life jackets were worn during the ride rather than just kept on the boat. Finally, one of the Ambassadors was coughing during the tour, which caused some concern within our group, especially since we had a young child and international travel planned soon after. Being mindful of such situations would help put guests at ease.

Villages, Stories & Hidden Goa - The Goan Hinterland Experience was such a refreshing break from the usual beach routine, and a big shout-out to our ambassador Rajat for making it truly special. He took us through quiet villages, lush green landscapes, and stories that showed us a side of South Goa most tourists never get to see. Rajat’s storytelling, local insights, and easygoing vibe made the experience feel less like a tour and more like exploring Goa with a very knowledgeable friend. Thanks to Soul Travelling (and Rajat!), this felt slow, authentic, and full of heart. If you want to experience the real Goa beyond beaches and crowds, this one’s a must-do!

A time well spent - We had a great time visiting some of the historic places like the Rivona caves, rock formations and different plantations. Medora was our ambassador and she walked us through the history and stories behind the places which was very interesting.
